Agent Updates
Sova, Brimstone, and Breach received ability damage updates. These updates are meant to reward players who can creatively use their ability sandbox to “solve the obstacles other agents are creating.” Here are the specific ability damage changes for the three agents:

  • Killjoy Nanoswarm
  • Cypher Trapwire
  • Sage Barrier Orb
  • Sova Recon Bolt
  • KAY/O Zero/Point
Brimstone’s Orbital Strike (ultimate) now deals damage to the following:
  • Killjoy Nanoswarm

Agent Nerfs
Patch 3.05 nerfs Raze’s Boom Bot and Killjoy’s Turret.
Boom Bot’s damage has decreased but also now costs a bit less.
Boom Bot (C)
Maximum damage reduced from 125 to 80
Minimum damage reduced from 50 to 30
Cost reduced from 400 to 300
Meanwhile, Killjoy’s Turret is now slowing opponents significantly less.
Turret (E)
Bullet tagging reduced from 72.5% slow to 29.5% slow (84.31% Decrease in slowing.)
Competitive Updates
The most significant change here is the return of Immortal 1/2/3 rank tiers, allowing players to more easily distinguish between their Immortal divisions.
As a result, ranked restrictions have been updated to reflect the return of Immortal 1/2/3, most notably with regards to queueing up with Diamond-ranked players. These restrictions are detailed below.
Diamond 1 -> Immortal 1
Diamond 2 -> Immortal 2
Diamond 3 -> Immortal 3
Fracture Map
The Fracture Map features an “H” shaped design that spawns defenders in the middle of the map while the attackers are on either side at the top or bottom.
Other highlights of Valorant Patch 3.05
Premium Battlepass Bonus XP
Players who have upgraded to the premium Battlepass will now earn an additional 3% XP toward tier progression. This is not retroactive, so upgrading early will ensure that you get the most XP. Daily and Weekly Missions are not included in the XP boost.
AFK detection logic update
This feature has been updated to prevent players from farming Battlepass/Account Levels by AFKing in-game modes like Deathmatch and Snowball Fight.
Performance updates
Players can benefit from performance enhancements such as updated ping calculations that exclude server frame time as well as updated NVIDIA Reflex markers. The update should enable Reflex to better pace frames by adding current markers and fixes to some older markers.
This latest update fixes select Agent’s abilities, including:
A concurrent, overlapping ally and enemy Viper smoke could result in the nearsight and decay remaining permanently active.
Omen could become stuck in other objects if they were blocking the From the Shadows return location.
After casting Dark Cover, Omen will no longer equip his weapon more slowly than intended.
After exiting Astral Form, Astra will no longer equip her weapon at a slower rate than intended.
Fixed KAY/O’s NULL/cmd waves from shattering the glass on Ascent.
