Following the feedback from the community of Valorant, Riot Games has made some changes to the game format of Valorant Champions Tour 2021: Stage 3 Masters – Berlin.
The offline tournament composed of 16 teams from Challengers league worldwide was initially made up of a group play followed by a four-team elimination bracket. However, this was changed.
On August 21, Riot has decided, based on player and fan feedback, to pivot to a more familiar eight-team single-elimination bracket and remove the final match of the group stage.
VCT Masters Berlin Overview
Sixteen teams will battle it out from September 10 to 19 for the VCT Masters Berlin trophy and a direct invitation to the 2021 Valorant Champions. The venue will be Verti Music Hall in Berlin, Germany, entirely LAN with no live audiences. Players will be playing the Valorant 3.04 Update.
Berlin is the third 2021 VCT Masters event and the final chance for teams to gain VCT Points toward qualification for Champions, the end-of-year Valorant World Final. Along with VCT Points, the winning team at Masters Berlin will earn a direct invitation to Champions, granting their region an additional spot at the tournament.
