

Benchmarking software Antutu has released the Global Top 10 Best Performing Flagship and Midrange Phones for September 2021. The list in September is nearly identical to August. Once again, ZTE’s Snapdragon 888-powered Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro topped the flagship group, and Snapdragon 778G-based Realme GT Master dominated the mid-range class.
According to Antutu, the smartphones included in the Top 10 best-performing Android smartphones for September 2021 were calculated from September 1 until September 30, 2021, with average scores being recorded instead of the highest scores, to be more representative.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-powered smartphones have continued their dominance in the flagship department. The Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro topped the charts, scoring an average of 825,145 points. The gaming phone dons a 165Hz screen refresh rate, 16GB RAM+ 256GB internal storage, and a built-in cooling fan for heat dissipation.
Still, in second place, Asus ROG Phone 5 earned an average Antutu score of 822,290 points. Realme GT has also maintained its third-place position, recording an average score of 809,322 points.
The following seven smartphones in the rankings are the iQOO 7, Redmi K40 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9, Mi 11i, and Asus Zenfone 8 Mini.

Snapdragon 778G-powered Realme GT Master is still number one in the midrange department, with an average Antutu score of 538,085 points. This smartphone features a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 64MP triple rear camera setup.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has maintained its second-place ranking, posting an average Antutu score of 524,646 points. Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G grabbed the third spot scoring 505,812 points.
Following them are the Huawei Nova 7, Oppo Reno6 5G, Realme 7 5G, Oppo Reno5 A, Huawei Nova 7i, Realme 8 5G, and Realme Narzo 30.
No chipset in the Android smartphone market has been able to compete with Qualcomm for consecutive months, particularly in the high-end chipset department.
Take note that the Antutu benchmark results are only estimates. Actual performance is still heavily influenced by the user’s usage and comfort.
