Philippines’ Team Secret suffered their first loss against Masters Berlin champions Gambit Esports, 1-2, in the Valorant Champions 2021 opener on December 2.
Team Secret took Game 1 in the Icebox map with their aggressive gameplay that stunned the Russian squad, resulting in a 13-6 win.
Game 2 in the Breeze map saw Gambit Esports making revenge, as they wiped the Filpino squad, 13-0, to force a decider match.
Taking place in Bind Map, Team Secret started strong in the pistol round of Game 3. However, Gambit Esports showed an all-out performance in the second half and secured a 13-6 victory.
Gambit Esports advances to the winners’ bracket in Group C.
Meanwhile, Team Secret drops down to the losers’ bracket. On December 5 at 10 PM, they will face Japan’s Crazy Raccoon for their elimination match.
