BTK beat Sibol to win Mobile Legends showmatch
Team Sibol, represented by players of world champions Blacklist International, competed against BTK in a showmatch following the amateur tournament’s Realme Mobile Legends Cup Grand Finals.
World championship MVP Kiel “Oheb” Soriano geared up for Sibol in the absence of power duo Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario, with Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales filling Wise’s jungler role and Russel Aaron “Eyon” Usi substituting OhMyV33nus as a support player.
Eyon and Hadji’s amazing chemistry shined in Game 1 after successfully making a comeback against BTK at the 22-minute mark. Hadji’s late-game efforts earned him MVP honors, posting an 8-2-11 kill-death-assist record.
BTK’s strong run, highlighted by Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun’s excellent play, tied the series. Further, Ichiji’s presence impeded Blacklist’s frontline lineup, which perfectly synergized with his teammates’ damage output, resulting in a Game 2 victory for BTK.
In Game 3, Philippines team Sibol kept USA team BTK to a one kill by eliminating Shark’s Chou early on to reach the match point.
BTK snowballed their way to win Games 4 and 5, led by MobaZane’s pick of Thamuz, to secure the victory.
Blood Thirsty Kings squad ultimately shown that the American MLBB scene merits to be in the spotlight.
