King of Fighters (KOF) Arena, NFT P2E game, revealed

The King of Fighters Arena or KOF Arena, a new fighting game from Netmarble, will run on blockchain technology, as revealed by the game company during the Tokyo Game Show 2022. The blockchain game will feature character NFTs and game tokens.

The game's official website is https://ift.tt/WR6pAHz. It is expected to be launched between October and December 2022. Pre-registration for the play-to-earn (P2E) title is scheduled to start on September 28.

KOF Arena, based on SNK's The King of Fighters IP, is being created by Netmarble NEO, the same team that developed The King of Fighters Allstar and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.

King of Fighters Arena is being developed as a play-to-earn title, as per the head of Netmarble Japan's game design.

Moreover, it brings together the KOF series' main characters and makes dream battles a reality.

It was noted that there are no gacha or character collection elements in the game, with free characters being added through updates.

The KOF Arena roster and experience will be expanded through special collaborations and in-game updates following the game's release.

While the game's controls are optimized for mobile devices, no manual input is required during battles. The primary mode is a 3v3 team battle in which each of the six players controls one character.

In addition, KOF Arena will allow the exchange of in-game tokens for MBX. The game, including its integration with MARBLEX, was unveiled for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show, where players responded positively to the 1:1 PVP battles and blockchain-integrated features.

In KOF Arena, a "controller" can be purchased. When using a controller to play and win, you can earn Fight Money (FM), which can be exchanged for tokens, as well as Mastery Points to level up your characters. You cannot earn tokens if you do not purchase a controller, but you can still earn Mastery Points for upgrades. Basically, the P2E aspect of the game necessitates an initial financial investment before you can begin earning.

Once you have completed the gaming portion of the game and returned to the crypto portion, FM will be converted into Tokens, which you can then use to exchange for MBX.

Additionally, you can collect fighter cards, which can be used to earn money by collecting and trading them with other players. However, the game also offers a new way to earn money.

If you purchase a character fighter card for a particular character, you will receive a portion of FM earned by other players using that character as a dividend at the end of the season. The greater quantity of this fighter card you possess, the greater proportion of the dividend you will receive.

Beginning on September 28, interested players can pre-register for The King of Fighters Arena to gain access to special rewards and events.

The game will be available on Google Play, the App Store, as well as a PC version, with specific details regarding the global release to be determined in stages.

The title will support numerous languages, including English, Traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Russian, and German.
