PUBG Mobile 2.2 Update: new Nusa map, new game mode, more

PUBG Mobile has rolled out its new Version 2.2 Update, bringing the new map Nusa, updated Erangel, new themed game mode Gear Front Mode, as well as new content with Cycle 3 Season 8 and Royale Pass Month 15. Check out the highlights below.

New Map: Nusa

Version 2.2 introduces a brand-new map for players to enjoy, explore, and fight on! Nusa is the new 1x1 km tropical island map for tourists. Overflowing with supplies, players will immediately engage in thrilling battles upon entering. Due to the small size of this map, matches are completed much more quickly than on maps such as Erangel or Livik, resulting in fast-paced and exciting gameplay. In addition to gunfights, Nusa is an island with numerous breathtaking views and panoramas.

Moreover, Nusa will introduce the new Super Recall mechanic, which will allow players who are eliminated early to rejoin the game if they still have teammates alive. Those playing solo will regenerate automatically.

The latest map features a variety of new rapid transit options, including zip lines and an elevator in the multi-story Telepak Town Apartment. Additionally, Nusa will feature the Tactical Crossbow and NS2000 Shotgun as new weapons. The new Quad, a two-seater vehicle with exceptional stability, is also available to players.

Updates to Erangel

The Version 2.2 Update for PUBG Mobile introduces numerous changes to Erangel. First, the Hospital and Mylta Power structures have been updated to facilitate combat and supply gathering.

Two new ports are being added on the island of Erangel, one south of the Sosnovka Military Base and the other southwest of the Farm. The Ferry Pier will also receive cosmetic updates. This is in addition to a new rainbow weather effect, a Flash Shop that will randomly appear throughout Erangel, Gas Stations where players can refuel their vehicles, the Bicycle Shed, and new Targeted Supply Crates, which come in three varieties: medical, token, and military supply.

New Game Mode: Gear Front

This exciting game mode will have players battling across Erangel, Livik, and Nusa with a variety of new skills that will result in faster-paced gunfights, faster map traversal, and more frequent enemy encounters. Playzone Analysis, Trace, and Supply Scan make it much simpler to locate the next Playzone, track down enemies, and locate advanced supplies. Utilizing Vehicle Air Drops will provide players with even more options for map traversal, and properly using skills such as Gliding Doll and Healing Smoke will alter the nature of gunfights.

Additionally, players can purchase a Vehicle Radar Scan from the shop, which will help them locate vehicles more quickly. Cable Cars have been included in Stalber, making movement around the area easier for those who prefer to walk. Additionally, Strange Town has been added. This new location is located near Stalber and the western coast, and players can use hot air balloons to escape quickly.

The PUBGM Version 2.2 Update commences Cycle 3 Season 8 on September 20, 2022, with a new set of Legendary items, updates to Ace Tier, such as titles and sub-tiers, and enhancements to the Tier Badge presentation and Badge page.
