NetEase Games has soft launched Tank Company, a new 15v15 tank battle game, on Android devices. The mobile game features large-scale real-time battles on historical maps, with realistic tanks and weaponry, as teams of players compete to destroy their opponents on the battlefield.
Tank Company is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) tank shooter where players can choose from over a hundred tanks based on actual World War II and Cold War-era vehicles. Future updates will add even more tanks from various nations to the roster of Tank Company.
Players can choose from five different tank types, including light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, tank destroyers, and self-propelled artillery, each of which has its unique attributes in combat.
There are swift tanks that can evade enemy fire and scout the battlefield, as well as heavy machines with thick armor that can protect their teammates.
In Tank Company, tanks can play multiple roles, including support units and long-range snipers, allowing for a variety of team compositions and combat strategies.
Tank Company pits players against a large number of foes at once, and it's not just enemy vehicles they need to worry about. Some of the maps are based on locations where some of the most famous battles in history were fought and can be up to 1 million square meters in size. These include blazing hot deserts, snow-covered towns, and abandoned factories, each of which presents its own control challenges on the battlefield. The game features a progression system in which players begin with a Tier 1 tank and must work their way up to a Tier VIII tank, which has the best stats and weapons.
The primary gameplay modes involve 15v15 tank fights between teams of tanks. Moreover, there are extra modes, such as "Hide and Seek" mode, where stealth is crucial, and "Low Gravity" mode, which makes the vehicles much lighter.
There are numerous ways to have fun, and teams of friends can even organize their own tank platoons and work together to achieve success.
Even on mobile devices, one of the most striking parts of Tank Company is its visuals and attention to detail, with tanks and their weaponry recreated in exquisite detail, as well as vast landscapes with realistic lighting and shadow effects.
