No more Dota 2 teams with Filipino players are advancing TI11

There'll be no more Dota 2 teams with Filipino players advancing at The International 11 (TI11), the MOBA game's biggest tournament. The teams that exited the competition were Fnatic, Evil Geniuses (EG), and Boom Esports.

From the most recent match, Boom Esports against PSG.LGD in the Lower Bracket Round 2. The Indonesia-based squad Boom lost to China's PSG.LGD, 0-2, on October 21, 2022.

Boom Esports made it this far after a performance improvement on the final day of the group stage narrowly qualified them for the Main Event. Nevertheless, against all odds, the Southeast Asian team defeated the defending champions, Team Spirit, in the opening round of the Lower Bracket.

However, China's PSG demonstrated their superiority by defeating Boom Esports, which consists of Filipino players Timothy "Tims" Randrup, Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer, and Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong.

Another team with a Pinoy player that has been taken down in the tournament is the North American squad EG, which includes Cavite's Abed Yusop. Evil Geniuses were eliminated from TI11 on October 21 after losing to South American squad Beastcoast, 0-2, in the Lower Bracket Round 2.

Despite dominating the group stage with a 14-4 record, Abed and the rest of the EG squad were unable to carry their momentum into the main event. However, Beastcoast proved to be the stronger team.

The Dota 2 team with Filipino players in its lineup that bowed out early of TI11 on October 20 is the Southeast Asia-based esports organization Fnatic. Europe's Gaimin Gladiators beat the squad, 1-0, in the Lower Bracket Round 1. Fnatic's PH players include Marc Polo Luis "Raven" Fausto, Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios, Djardel "DJ" Mampusti, and Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla.

The ranking and prizes received by the Dota 2 teams with Filipino players are as follows:
