realme UI 4.0: Android 13-based, new features, eligible devices

Chinese mobile brand realme has revealed new details for realme UI 4.0, its upcoming major OS upgrade. The Android 13-based skin brings new features, enhanced security, updated design, and optimizations. Check out the highlights of the new version of realme UI as well as the rollout schedule of the update for eligible devices.

1. Intuitive Design

Given the enormous number of apps users engage with on a daily basis, realme has implemented an intuitive design in the new UI System in order to deliver a more realistic and vibrant visual experience. A more user-friendly collection of app icons has been created so that users can immediately comprehend what they stand for.

realme UI 4.0: card-styled layout

The developers have put effort into enriching the details of the icons. The icon is designed to have a much richer texture with additional layers and shadows. Additionally, the icons in the card-styled layout have been given richer, youthful color schemes, creating a more colorful and vivid visual experience for users.

Moreover, the new realme UI 4.0 incorporates a card-styled structure to group several informational sections together. These "cards" also house the new control center. Users may now take advantage of the simplicity of the interface and the improved organization and clarity of all frequently used features.

2. Smart Interaction

realme is bringing some exciting features to our Always-On Display (AOD) in realme UI 4.0. An improved Always-On Display now offers a more individualized experience. Emoji animations, customized recommendations, and interactive panels are all available.

You don't even need to unlock your phone to view the music player when you're listening to your favorite songs on Spotify. Double-tapping the AOD causes the music player to transform into an interactive panel with playback, pause, and advance buttons. Additionally, it makes playlist recommendations based on an algorithm. By providing real-time Delivery updates, the smart AOD also lets you know how much longer you'll have to wait for your meal.

Your realme smartphone is both unique and artistic thanks to the new AOD, which also offers you a wide range of style options.

3. Efficient Lifestyle

realme has not only optimized the visuals but also improved the smoothness of the system. In realme UI 4.0, the basic system operations have been considerably improved. realme created the Powerful Dynamic Computing Engine, which improves overall performance and lowers power consumption of the device.

When the battery life while gaming has grown by 4.7%, overall performance has improved by 10%. The device's maximum temperature has been lowered by 1 °C.

In addition to performance improvements, realme has optimized animations. In order to make using your realme devices to browse through or switch between applications a more intuitive experience, the most recent Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 has been improved. The animations are adjusted so that they can be perceived in a smoother and more natural way using AI technology, which learns from the patterns of your gestures and adapts accordingly.

4. Privacy Protection

With just one click in realme UI 4.0, you can automatically pixelate your personal information on screenshots captured from various popular instant messaging apps, like WhatsApp and Messenger, eliminating any worries about disclosing private information.

On safety and privacy, there is more. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is used by realme's most advanced Private Safe to store your private images, videos, audio recordings, and documents with a highly secure lock, offering you a comprehensive range of privacy protection services.
