Garena has revealed the full patch notes for Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 (2023), detailing weapons that received buffs and nerfs, as well as all the new content and updates coming to the game. Check out the details below.

Garena CODM Season 2 2023 Overview

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2: Heavy Metal is all gas and no brakes. Put the pedal to the metal with The Marshal and his trusty SP-R 208 - Wild West, or try to tame the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Diesel with Deadman and the QXR - DEAD-54 in the Season 2 Battle Pass! If you missed it the first time, the Spurned & Burned Battle Pass is now available in the Battle Pass Vault. Capture points and collect batteries with your allies as you suit up in the new Goliath Clash! mode.

Multiplayer Mode

Map Update
  • Diesel
    • Diesel is coming. Moving lines are simple in this new map where fierce combat is expected, so always remember to keep your wits about you.

Gameplay Update
  • Chaos Control
    • Compared with the mode Control, there are no live limitations in Chaos Control.
  • Goliath Clash!
    • This is the first TPP mode in Multiplayer. It's 5v5 and players will fight as a Goliath and use their skills to capture the objectives.

New Perk
  • Unit Support
    • While equipped, the player's Operator Skill will charge by 20% for every teammate's kill, but the player's personal contribution to their Operator Skill is reduced by 60%. The player's Scorestreak charge will increase by 10% from the teammate's kills while capturing Objectives. Unit Support only brings a bonus to charging speed and will be adjusted according to the maximum number of players.

  • Ravager Launcher
    • Deploy a Ravager Launcher that automatically locks onto enemy soldiers and vehicles within range.

New Supply Drop
New weapon drop in Battle Royale: Maddox

  • New assault rifle: Maddox
    • A high mobility assault rifle with a relatively fast fire rate and special Echo Fire Mod.

New Attachment
  • New signature attachment for M4: Underbarrel Launcher
    • It launches a grenade.

Optimization
  • Weapon performance optimization: Man-O-War, Peacekeeper MK2, KN-44, RPD, PP19 Bizon
    • Weapon SFX optimization: KSP 45, .50 GS, AS VAL

Balance Adjustment

MP & BR
  • HBRa3
    • As a balanced Assault Rifle that's deadly in 4 shots, HBRa4 does not perform well enough in terms of use. We slightly increased the mobility and stability to make it stand out in the close-to-medium range.
    • ADS Speed: Increased
    • Recoil on the first few shots: Smoother

  • BK57
    • BK57 performs stable in terms of lethality but is still not stable enough for mid-range combat against other Assault Rifles. Therefore we want to make an improvement by reducing the hit flinch and ADS bullet spread.
    • Hit flinch: Reduced
    • ADS Bullet Spread: Reduced
    • Recoil on first few shots: Smoother

  • Man-O-War
    • Man-O-War is of high damage at the cost of fire rate and mobility. It’s not necessary to be so bulky on its reloading and ADS speed.
    • Basic Reloading Speed: Increased
    • Basic ADS Speed: Increased

  • ICR-1
    • ICR-1 is only a little short of range and stability from mid-range strong Assault Rifles. It's time to buff it.
    • Range: Increased
    • Recoil on the 3rd shot: Reduced

  • EM2
    • As a mid- and long-range Assault Rifle with high accuracy, EM2 has been restricted by its low bullet speed. 27.4"" Ranger's mobility debuff even made it worse. Its endurance performance was constrained by low basic mag capacity and a long reload time.
    • Bullet Speed: Increased
    • Basic Reloading Speed: Increased
    • Damage in the last range: Increased (BR)

  • 27.4" Ranger
    • Bullet Speed Buff: Reduced
    • ADS Speed Debuff: Reduced
    • ADS Movement Speed Debuff: Reduced

  • 40-Round Extended Mag
    • ADS Speed Debuff: Reduced

  • M16
    • Damage: Reduced

  • Wild Fire
    • Hit Flinch Debuff: Added
    • Recoil of Fully Automatic Fire: Slightly Increased

  • Krig 6
    • Krig 6 gives an edge on its well-performed mobility in the majority of mid-range Assault Rifles. It will be more properly positioned after a slight adjustment.
    • Basic ADS Speed: Reduced
    • Range: Reduced

  • Extended Mag
    • Mobility Debuff Added

  • AK117
    • AK117 is now lacking competitiveness in medium and close-range combat. The range advantage needs to be increased.
    • Range: Increased

  • Dingo
    • Dingo needs an enhancement on its range urgently to show an edge in its combat range.
    • Range: Increased
    • Damage: Increased (BR only)
    • Bug of mobility (BR) fixed

  • M4LMG
    • Recoil optimized: Smoother

  • MSMC
    • High damage by MSMC is not enough to make up for its deficiencies in endurance and range. It needs an all-around enhancement.
    • Range: Increased
    • Basic reload speed: Increased
    • Capacity of Large Extended Mag: Increased
    • Recoil on the first 4 shots: Reduced

  • QXR
    • Players need to deal head & chest damage for shorter TTK whether with Enhanced Bolt equipped or not. Buffing on more body part multipliers will reduce the difficulty in terms of use.
    • Arm multiplier: Increased

  • MX9
    • MX9 has strong horizontal recoil, but its attachments that can suppress the recoil control don't seem good enough.
    • Horizontal recoil: Reduced

  • LAPA
    • LAPA will rapidly lose its edge out of the first damage range even with great damage and mobility. We enhanced range and bullet speed to make it more reliable in more combat scenarios.
    • Bullet speed: Increased
    • Range: Increased

  • CBR4
    • CBR4 performs at an extremely high level among SMGs in terms of movement while ADSs. With powerful endurance and good performance in ballistics, it was always the best selection in medium and close-range combat.
    • Reloading speed: Reduced

  • YKM Light Stock
    • ADS movement speed buff: Reduced

  • Fennec
    • ADS Bullet Spread: Increased
    • Hipfire Bullet Spread: Increased

  • JAK-12
    • JAK-12 performs too well in all aspects compared to other automatic shotguns. We adjusted it to encourage players to explore more weapon options in response to its overflowing usage in some maps.
    • Bullet spread: Increased
    • Damage: Reduced

  • Echo
    • The damage by Echo does not match its fire rate. This won't allow it to make a frontal confrontation against other automatic shotguns.
    • Pellets amount: Increased

Multiplayer

  • Ballista EM3
    • Endurance: Reduced
    • Mag capacity: Reduced

  • Shadow Blade
    • Endurance: Increased

  • VTOL
    • Camera vibration when firing: Reduced

  • Chopper Gunner
    • Camera vibration when firing: Reduced

  • Sticky Grenade
    • Max explosion damage: Increased

  • Cryo Bomb
    • Effective range: Slightly increased

  • C4
    • Max damage: Slightly decreased
    • Min damage: Slightly decreased

Battle Royale

  • DL Q33
    • Concussion brought by Maevwat Omega-1 performs well in Battle Royale. We reduced its bullet speed and concussion duration to prevent the overpowered situation brought by its first-mover advantage (BR only).

  • Maevwat Omega-1
    • Initial bullet speed: Reduced
    • Concussion time: Reduced

BR Class
  • Igniter
    • The best feature of Igniter is that it can switch on/off according to the type of combat environment. But the flexibility required will cost more energy consumption encouraging players to be more prudent with selections.
    • Energy consumption when activated: Increased

  • Medic
    • The active effect was widely used in non-combat situations where it lost its value. We enhanced the recovery effect to bring benefits to users in territorial combat.
    • Recover speed: Increased
    • HP recovered per second: Increased
    • Armor recovered per second: Increased

  • Airborne
    • The transport feature that Airborne provides is not suitable for the current battle pace. Its distance and flexibility need to be enhanced.
    • Ejection height: Increased
    • Changing duration: Reduced

Bug Fixes

  • AK-47
    • Bug fixed: an error on the damage range of AK-47 equipped 5.45 Caliber Ammo in Battle Royale.
    • 5.45 Caliber Ammo: Damage adjusted

  • Combat Stock
    • Bug fixed: actual performance of some Combat Stock does not match values from the description texts.
