How to replace a lost Globe or TM SIM with the same number

Losing your Globe or TM SIM card can be a stressful experience, especially if it is your primary mobile number or linked to apps that require a one-time PIN (OTP), like online banking, online shopping, and e-wallet.

Among the reasons for a lost or damaged SIM card are due to misplacement, physical damage, malfunction, and phone theft. Fortunately, with the introduction of SIM registration in the Philippines, replacing your lost SIM card while retaining the mobile number is now more convenient, as your information is already registered to your telco. Here is a guide to help you through the process.

How to replace a lost Globe or TM SIM and keep the same mobile number?

To have your lost Globe Prepaid, Globe Postpaid, or TM SIM card replaced while keeping the mobile number, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Report your lost or stolen phone to NTC for IMEI blocking.

Whether your phone with Globe or TM SIM got stolen or lost, it is important to report it to NTC to have the device's IMEI blocked, thus, preventing unauthorized use. For full instructions, check out: How to Block Lost/Stolen Phone Using IMEI (Report to NTC).

Step 2: Request for Globe/TM SIM deactivation (for those who can't go to Globe Store immediately).

You may have your line deactivated temporarily to avoid unnecessary charges using one of these two customer service channels:
  • Send a message through the official Globe Telecom Facebook page (https://ift.tt/UcEr9zL) and select Report Lost Phone/SIM.
  • Call the Globe customer service hotline at 02-7730-1000 and select Report Lost Phone/SIM.

Step 3: Go to the Globe Store to request SIM replacement.

To have your lost Globe/TM SIM card replaced for free, you can go to the nearest Globe store in your area (https://ift.tt/N7O4Uep). Make sure to bring the requirements: a Duly Notarized Affidavit of Loss and a government-issued ID. Provide also your personal information, including full name, address, birthday, and mobile number, similar to the details when you registered your SIM. Your lost Globe/TM SIM card will be permanently deactivated for your safety, and you will receive a new 5G SIM with the same mobile number. The Globe store will activate the newly-issued SIM card within 24 hours.
