Valorant Mobile: China pre-reg up, gameplay revealed

Four years since its initial announcement, the mobile version of the hero shooter game Valorant has opened pre-registrations on April 21, 2025. However, China is currently the only region eligible for early sign-ups, announced by Riot Games during the Tencent Spark 2025 event.

Players in China can pre-register through the official website (valm.qq.com) using a QQ or WeChat account. Those who pre-register for Valorant Mobile will be included in the upcoming playtest, a limited beta test slated for June 2025. Further, they will get rewards like limited-edition player cards that they will receive at launch.

Riot Games partnered with Lightspeed Studios, creators of PUBG Mobile, to develop Valorant Mobile. The game will launch first in China; a global release date is still unknown.

Prior to the pre-registration event, Riot already conducted playtests in China, inviting top mobile FPS players from around the world to prepare for launch.

After its official announcement, the Valorant Mobile YouTube channel also revealed a gameplay trailer, showcasing the game's UI and control layout. Watch it here.

The sixteen agents (arranged by roles) available at launch are as follows:
  • Controllers: Astra, Brimstone, Omen, Viper
  • Duelists: Jett, Neon, Phoenix, Raze, Reyna, Yoru
  • Initiators: Breach, Skye, Sova
  • Sentinels: Cypher, Killjoy, Sage

Agents not available on the mobile version debut include Chamber, Clove, Deadlock, Fade, Gekko, Harbor, Iso, KAY/O, Tejo, Vyse, and Waylay.

Further, there will be two Valorant mobile-only maps:
  • Ancient Village
  • Shipyard

Six maps from the PC version will be ported to mobile:
  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Breeze
  • Fracture
  • Haven
  • Split

With the Outlaw confirmed, Valorant Mobile should include all standard weapons. The Regen Shield's availability at launch is still unknown.

I will just reiterate. Valorant Mobile China pre-reg is still ongoing, which will be followed by a playtest scheduled for June 2025.

I've been playing Valorant PC since its global release, which included the Philippines. However, the mode I always play is Spike Rush because matches end quickly, perfect for a casual gamer like me. And the upcoming mobile port of the game really excites me. If you're also interested, just comment your feedback below. – PinoyTechSaga
