GOMO PH revealed that the disruption of their SIM registration on April 20, 2023, was due to autoclickers.
According to GOMO, they traced this problem to some subscribers' use of auto-clickers, which compromise and spam the SIM card registration form on the app.
This has caused many GOMO subscribers to experience difficulties and errors in completing their SIM registration on the GOMO app.
GOMO said that they had taken action against customers linked to the use of these auto-clickers.
For those unaware, users of auto-clickers can set up predefined click intervals, locations, and repeat durations to automate repetitive tasks or actions in mobile apps.
GOMO warns against the usage of auto-clickers, which disrupt certain functionalities in other apps.
GOMO PH said:
We strongly discourage our subscribers from downloading these harmful auto-clickers for their own safety and protection.
The telco also added that they're optimizing their systems in the app to give subscribers a better registration experience:
We are working towards resolving problems caused by these autoclickers to ensure that our customers will be able to complete their SIM registration on the app.
