Huawei has revealed the EMUI 13 upgrade plan, detailing the schedule and list of devices to get the latest software update.
EMUI 13 OS will bring major updates for eligible smartphones, such as the new service widgets and changes on swipe-up icon gestures, which are the main features of the upcoming version of Huawei's skin.
The EMUI 13 update rollout schedule revealed by Huawei excludes famous flagship phones like the P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro.
With that, here is the list of supported Huawei devices that will receive the EMUI 13 update and their release schedule:
- Huawei Mate Xs 2 - June 2023
- Huawei P50 Pocket - June 2023
- Huawei P50 Pro - June 2023
- Huawei P50 - June 2023
- Huawei Nova 10 - July 2023
- Huawei Nova 10 Pro - July 2023
- Huawei Mate 40 Pro - September 2023
- Huawei Nova 9 - October 2023
- Huawei Nova 10 SE - September 2023
- Huawei Nova 9 SE - December 2023
- Huawei Nova Y90 - December 2023
The EMUI 13 list of supported devices appears to be lacking in comparison to their range of devices. Also, the waiting period is quite lengthy.
This new EMUI version brings various new features to supported Huawei devices, making the user experience better than the predecessor, EMUI 12.
Notably, users will have access to new features, such as service widgets, that provide quick access to essential app information without launching the app. These widgets are highly customizable and can be stacked and grouped.
For simpler interactions, the new operating system update will also include swipe-up gestures on the app icon.
In addition, the large folder is smarter because it can transform into four various layouts. Huawei's SuperHub feature, which allows users to share contacts across multiple devices, is also available.
