Metal Slug: Awakening will soft launch in the Philippines and other SEA regions on June 28, 2023, on Android mobile devices, announced VNG Games.
With the legendary run 'n gun title revived in Metal Slug: Awakening, fans will be able to relive their childhood memories and look forward to the spectacular comeback of Marco, Tarma, Eri, Fio, super vehicle SV-0001, Camel, and fiery battles. Metal Slug: Awakening Soft Launch
The game's soft launch will be available in select countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. It will be playable on Android devices at the time of the limited launch.
The CBT date will start on June 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM (GMT+8) and will end on July 11, 2023.

The game will be available for pre-download on Google Play Store on June 27, 2023.
Because the number of servers is limited, the publisher will apply on a first-come, first-served basis. When the server reaches the limit of 6,000 slots per available country, the server will be automatically closed to ensure the user experience.
Game Overview
Based on the wildly-popular 2D run-and-gun video game developed by SNK, Metal Slug: Awakening maintains the same core gameplay mechanics that we have already known from the original title, with enhancements to visuals by transitioning from pixel art to captivating 3D graphics. The shooter game is being developed by TiMi Studio. Its publisher for SEA regions is VNG Games.
The classic side-scrolling mode is maintained with new modes, like Hot Pursuit, The Maze, and Joint Operation (multiplayer). Other game features include a common lobby where you can interact with other players and guild (Club), among others.
Metal Slug: Awakening will be released on Android and iOS devices in Asian countries, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. However, the date for the global release date has yet to be revealed by the developers.
