PH Sibol ML, Dota 2 teams top IESF 2023 qualifiers

Philippine Sibol's Mobile Legends and Dota 2 teams topped the IESF 2023 Asia & Oceania qualifiers after emerging champions in their respective titles.

The qualifiers for the 15th International Esports Federation (IESF) World Esports Championship (WEC) were held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sibol's Mobile Legends team, composed of pro team AP Bren (Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, Marco "Super Marco" Requitano, Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson, Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo, and David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon) defeated Mongolia in the grand finals via clean sweep, 3-0, to win the tournament.

Prior to this, the Sibol ML team crushed Mongolia in the upper bracket final and Cambodia in the upper bracket semifinals.

Sibol Dota 2 team wins Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship 2023

After being dropped in the lower bracket, Sibol's Dota 2 squad swept Myanmar, 2-0, to win the regional Dota 2 qualifiers.

Sibol Dota 2 IESF 2023 roster is bannered by Jun "Bok" Kanehara, Marvin "Boomy" Rushton, Bryle "cml" Alvizon, Mc "Mac" Villanueva, Justine "Tino" Grimaldo, and Eljohn "Akashi" Andales.

In addition to receiving one of five spots at the IESF WEC in Iasi, Romania, each Mobile Legends and Dota 2 team took home the grand prize worth USD 7,000 (roughly PHP 380k).
