Riot Games announced the Empyrean Cup, the first official League of Legends (LoL) open tournament in the Philippines since Riot regained the publishing rights to LoL and Teamfight Tactics (TFT) in Asia Pacific (APAC) earlier this year.

Tournament Overview
From mid-September to early November 2023, 256 teams will compete in the open qualifiers of the tournament. They will strive to reach the finals on recently launched local League servers and prove themselves as the top teams in the region.

League of Legends Philippines Empyrean Cup 2023
The Empyrean Cup will feature 256 teams in a high-stakes competition, with two qualifying legs accommodating 128 teams each. The online qualifiers are scheduled for September 16-17, 2023, and October 14-15, 2023.
Registration for the first qualifier in September and the second qualifier in October will start on August 29, 2023, and September 22, 2023, respectively, on a first-come, first-served basis on this website [https://bit.ly/EmpyreanCupREG].
During these qualifier weekends, the top four teams from each qualifier leg will battle it out to secure their spots in the Grand Finals. The Grand Finals will take place offline at the Esports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) from November 3 to 5, 2023.
The top four teams will compete for a total prize pool of Php 1 million. It's worth noting that this exciting event will coincide with the Worlds 2023 Qualifiers, making the League competitive scene even more thrilling.
