Design and Build Quality

The color of the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G we have is Sunrise Beige. Like its vanilla sibling, realme 11 Pro 5G, it comes in a Premium Vegan Leather Design that was made in partnership with former Gucci prints and textile designer Matteo Menotto. He drew inspiration for the design of the smartphone's cover from the city where he was born: Milan, a famous and historic city in Italy. The phone has a round camera module shaped like the rising sun in the center of the city's buildings. The line in the middle is a 3D Couture Level Seam that was inspired by the city streets that extend into the distance. The remainder of the back of the phone is crafted from Premium Lychee Vegan Leather, and the phone's design is one of the first to feature an industry-first 3D woven texture reminiscent of high-end fashionable apparel.

Besides its sleek vegan leather cover and zipper-like strip and stitching in the middle, it also feels great. The phone has a curved screen and a slim body, making it easy to hold. Even if you only hold it using one hand, the phone is comfortable to grasp.

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G - all sides

The realme 11 Pro Plus 5G features a premium appearance and vintage feel, highlighted by its yellow strip in the middle and large circular camera bump that houses symmetrically aligned three rear cameras and an LED flash.

Since I first used it, the phone hasn't gotten dirty without its casing. I thought the leather finish would easily attract dirt, but it still looks new. If the back panel has dirt, just get a tiny piece of cloth and simply wipe it to clean it. This phone is one of the most premium-looking and solid built in its price range.

Display Quality

The 6.7-inch 120 hertz AMOLED display on the realme 11 Pro Plus is superior in terms of sharpness, color reproduction, brightness levels, and deep blacks. There are multiple screen color settings available to achieve optimal color accuracy.

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G - display

The curved edges are not too steep, so I had no problem with mistouch. The side bezels are thin, with a tiny punch-hole on top, expanding the viewing experience.

Specifically, realme 11 Pro Plus 5G's 6.7-inch screen comes with a 61-degree Precision Curved 1080p resolution, an OLED Display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.65 percent, a super high refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth browsing, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz that can increase up to 1,260Hz depending if the activity is compatible (especially mobile gaming), 1.07 billion colors, 100 perceent DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+ support, and an ultra-narrow 2.3mm chin.

Moreover, the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G is built with 0.65mm Double-Reinforced Glass and can withstand a 1-meter drop test, making it highly durable.

The device's 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming feature intelligently activates at lower brightness levels for a more comfortable display experience.

Additionally, TÃœV Rheinland Certification for Low Blue Light and Flicker Free Certification also takes eye care into account. The curved display also eliminates unintentional mistouches with its X-Touch Anti-Mistouch Algorithm 2.0, which has a 20 percent increase in controlled area compared to the previous generation and can recognize 11 distinct ways of grasping the phone in one's hands for more precise intuitive control. It also boasts a 16x HyperPrecise Touch function, which detects the normal location of your fingers up to 16 times for more precise control in suitable settings.

The display of realme 11 Pro Plus features Hypervision Mode with Video Color Boost, which can convert SDR to HDR by making video colors more vibrant, as well as Video HDR Boost, which can boost and adjust the phone's brightness when playing videos with high dynamic range, allowing for more brightness when the scene should be bright and as much darkness as possible when the scene should be dark.

Viewing content on the realme 11 Pro Plus is still clear and readable even under direct sunlight, thanks to its maximum brightness of 950 nits.

A quick and responsive under-display fingerprint scanner is available for biometric authentication. In addition to Screen Unlock, your enrolled fingerprint can be used for App Lock, Private Safe, and Quick Launch. There are several fingerprint animations available for customization. Meanwhile, you can disable the fingerprint icon if you prefer it not to appear.

Speaker Quality

The realme 11 Pro Plus 5G features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio Certification. Speaker grills are located at the top and bottom.

When listening to music and watching videos, the speakers are pretty loud, and the sound quality is so good, with clear highs, pleasant vocals, and punchy bass.

Hardware and Software

The realme 11 Pro Plus 5G has a huge 12GB RAM and 512GB storage but lacks a micro SD card slot. By activating the handset's RAM Expansion mode, the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G can convert up to 12GB of unused ROM storage into virtual RAM to enhance its performance, ensuring efficient multitasking and silky smooth performance even when running multiple mobile apps at the same time. To extend your RAM, go to Settings > About Device > RAM, toggle on the switch button for RAM expansion and choose among the options available, including 4 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB. The system will prompt you to restart for changes to take effect. With a whopping 24GB of total RAM, you can enjoy a smooth and seamless experience without any lag or stutter.

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G - specs

The 6nm-built MediaTek Dimensity 7050 octa-core CPU offers dependable performance with a maximum clock speed of 2.6 GHz. This equips the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G with all the necessary components to deliver powerful performance and improved battery efficiency. Its Mali-G68 MC4 GPU enables it to provide high-quality visuals and fluid animations, making it ideal for gaming, streaming, and other graphics-intensive mobile applications.

In our tests, we can easily perform our daily tasks while smoothly multitasking between four to five apps. For gaming, I was able to play Mobile Legends at 61 fps at 35 degrees Celsius. With the high refresh rate and precise taps, my whole gaming experience is very smooth; no lag or frame drops at all. For haptics, realme 11 Pro Plus 5G has Tactile Engine 2.0 and O-HAPTICS feature, which delivers a high-quality vibration. For connectivity, it has 5G, dual nano SIM slot, WiFi 6, NFC support, and HyperSmart Antenna Switching 2.0.

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G - Mobile Legends test

The realme 11 Pro Plus 5G packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC ultra-fast charging via USB-C. In our test, it can charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in just under 30 minutes. Since this is a GAN charger, it efficiently charges without generating too much heat. Meanwhile, the battery will retain 80 percent of its capacity after four years of use (1,600 charge cycles).

With aggressive battery management, the device can achieve almost nine hours of screen-on-time during normal usage, including gaming, video streaming, and internet browsing.

When it comes to software, realme 11 Pro Plus 5G runs realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13. I find this interface to be quite impressive, as it is highly customizable compared to other interfaces. Also, realme has promised two years of major software updates and three years of security patches on this device, which is good enough.

realme did a fantastic job optimizing realme UI 4.0. I have not encountered any latency or stuttering in terms of animations, transitions, or usability. However, realme UI comes with an excessive number of pre-installed applications, some of which cannot even be disabled.

Other interesting features of the software include Smart Always-On Display (AOD) and Auto Pixelate. To enable Smart AOD, navigate to Settings > Wallpapers & Style > Always-On Display and toggle the switch on. There, you can customize the design of your choice. On the other hand, the Auto Pixelate function automatically recognizes and pixelates sensitive information, such as profile pictures and names, in your chat-related screenshots.

Antutu Score

For our performance test of the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G, we utilized version 10 of the Antutu Benchmark app.

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G - Antutu score - 619,047 points

realme 11 Pro 5G reached 619,047 points in the Antutu Benchmark. Here's the breakdown of its Antutu score: 171,420 (CPU), 140,801 (GPU), 158,546 (MEM), and 148,280 (UX). The result is remarkable for a mid-ranger.

Camera Quality

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G features a triple rear camera system with a large 200MP OIS SuperZoom Camera, an 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera, and a 2MP Macro Camera, a superb camera setup that can record videos steadily, take photos with clear details in any lighting condition, and allow for lossless zoom. The advanced In-sensor Zoom technology offers a four-times zoom that is far sharper than regular digital zoom. On the display's top-centered punch-hole, there's a 32MP Sony Selfie Camera. Check out the photos I have captured with this phone with the default settings.

The realme 11 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a Samsung 200MP HP3 Isocell Sensor that enables high-resolution images with 200 million pixels and a maximum resolution of 16320 x 122402. It is also able to gather more light than most sensors in the market, given its size of a 1/1.4" sensor. This is paired with an f/1.69 Aperture and has Tetra2pixel Technology, which uses pixel-binning technology that produces a 0.56µm for 200MP Mode, best used in bright lighting conditions, a 1.12µm for 50MP Mode that is usable in slightly low light conditions, and a 2.24µm via the standard 12.5MP (Photo Mode) for the darkest lighting conditions.

realme 11 Pro+ 5G is also equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a hardware solution that prevents unnecessary shakes and motion when shooting photos (Super OIS with 3° EDR OIS Algorithm). In Standard Photo Mode, there is also a 2x and 4x In-Sensor zoom that can be toggled to enable "lossless zoom" for images captured with the 200MP Sensor. Further, the 2x In-Sensor Zoom is utilized in the 2x Portrait Mode for a close-up picture that is enhanced by Portrait Algorithms. Zoom capabilities are also enhanced, as best demonstrated by capturing photos of the moon with AI-enabled and zoom set to x10.

Final Thoughts

realme 11 Pro Plus 5G has an exceptional curved AMOLED screen, a great zoom camera, a premium design, solid haptics, a blazing fast charging technology, and loud dual speakers. However, it does not have a 3.5mm earphone jack and ingress protection, which may disappoint some users. I find that carrying out my daily smartphone tasks, such as chatting with friends, browsing the web, and playing games, is quite fulfilling. If you're someone who loves capturing the beauty of the world through a lens, then the realme 11 Pro Plus 5G is an excellent choice for you. With its 200MP OIS SuperZoom Camera, this phone truly stands out from the rest and will help you capture every detail with stunning clarity.
