Design and Build Quality

The color of the realme 11 Pro 5G we have is Sunrise Beige. Like its higher-end sibling, realme 11 Pro Plus 5G, it comes in a Premium Vegan Leather Design that was made in collaboration with former Gucci Prints and Textile Designer Matteo Menotto. Menoto got his ideas for the back of the phone from Milan, Italy, where he was born. Milan is a famous and historic city, and the camera module looks like the sun rising in the middle of the buildings there. The middle line is made with a 3D Couture Level Seam that was inspired by the way city streets go on for miles. The rest of the back of the phone is made of Premium Lychee Vegan Leather, and the phone is one of the first to use an Industry-First 3D Woven Texture that looks like high-end clothes.

realme 11 Pro 5G - box and unit

Besides looking good, it feels good too. The phone has a curved display and a slim body, yet it is grippy. Even if you only have one hand, it's easy to hold the phone.

realme 11 Pro 5G - all sides

The yellow strip in the middle and the large circle camera module, which holds the two rear cameras and an LED flash, give the realme 11 Pro 5G its premium appearance and vintage feel.

Display Quality

The 6.7-inch 120 hertz AMOLED display on the realme 11 Pro is excellent in terms of contrast brightness levels, color reproduction, and deep blacks. The curves on the sides are likewise not too steep, so I had no issue of mistouch. The side bezels are also pretty thin, with a small punch-hole on top, making the viewing experience wider.

realme 11 Pro 5G - display

Particularly, realme 11 Pro's 6.7-inch screen comes with a 61-degree Precision Curved Full HD+ Resolution, an OLED Display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.65%, an ultra-high refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth scrolling, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz that can go up to 1,260Hz depending if the activity is compatible (especially gaming), 1.07 billions colors, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+ support, and a 2.3mm narrow chin.

Further, realme 11 Pro 5G is extremely sturdy, being manufactured of 0.65mm Double-Reinforced Glass and capable of withstanding a 1-meter drop test.

The 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming feature of the device intelligently activates at lower brightness levels, making for a softer display experience.

With TÃœV Rheinland Certification for Low Blue Light and Flicker Free Certification, eye care in realme 11 Pro is also taken into account. The curved display also prevents accidental touches with its X-Touch Anti-Mistouch Algorithm 2.0, which has a 20 percent larger controlled area than its predecessor and can recognize 11 different ways to hold the phone for more accurate and intuitive control. It also has a 16x HyperPrecise Touch feature that recognizes the usual position of your fingers up to 16 times for more exact control in certain situations.

The display of realme 11 Pro has Hypervision Mode with Video Color Boost, which can change SDR to HDR by making the colors in videos more vivid. It also has Video HDR Boost, which can boost and adjust the brightness of the phone when playing high dynamic range videos, letting more light in when the scene should be dark and as little as possible when it should be bright.

With a max brightness of 950 nits, viewing content on realme 11 Pro, even under the direct bright sunlight, is still clear and readable.

For biometrics, there's a fast and responsive under-display fingerprint scanner ready to wake up the phone. Besides Screen Unlock, you can use your registered fingerprint for other options: App Lock, Private Safe, and Quick Launch. For customization, there are several fingerprint animations you can choose from. On the other hand, you can also disable the fingerprint icon.

Speaker Quality

For audio, realme 11 Pro 5G has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio Certification. At the top and bottom, there are speaker grills.

The speakers are loud, and the sound quality is good, with clear highs, nice vocals, and some bass.

Hardware and Software

realme 11 Pro 5G is equipped with a massive 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with no SD card expansion slot. By activating realme's RAM Expansion mode, the realme 11 Pro 5G can convert up to 8GB of unused ROM storage into temporary RAM to enhance its performance, ensuring efficient multitasking and smooth performance even when running multiple mobile apps simultaneously. To extend your RAM, go to Settings > About Device > RAM, toggle on the switch button for RAM expansion and select among the options available, including 4 GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB. The system will then tell you to restart it for the changes to take effect. With a 16GB of total RAM, you can really have a lag-free experience.

realme 11 Pro 5G - specs

The 6nm-built MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G octa-core chipset delivers powerful and dependable performance with a CPU speed of up to 2.6 GHz. This gives the realme 11 Pro 5G everything it needs to deliver solid performance with better battery efficiency. Integrated with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, it is capable of delivering high-quality visuals and seamless animations, making it ideal for gaming, streaming, and other graphics-intensive mobile apps.

In our tests, we run our daily tasks with ease, and multitasking between four to five apps is snappy. For gaming, I was able to play PUBG Mobile at 59 frames per second (fps) at a temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, Call of Duty Mobile at 60 fps at 39 degrees Celsius, and Mobile Legends at 60 fps at 38 degrees Celsius. It is absolutely an amazing gaming experience, as I've not experienced any frame drops at all. Since there's no lag, all taps are precise, making it manageable to win a match. For haptics, it got Tactile Engine 2.0, which delivered a decent vibration. For connectivity, it has 5G, dual nano SIM slot, WiFi 6, NFC, and HyperSmart Antenna Switching 2.0.

realme 11 Pro 5G - Mobile Legends test

The 5,000mAh battery on realme 11 Pro 5G supports a fast 67W SUPERVOOC charging tech via USB-C. In our test, it can charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in under 50 minutes. Due to realme's aggressive battery management, I was getting almost nine hours of screen-on-time under normal usage, which includes video streaming and internet browsing.

Regarding the software, realme 11 Pro 5G runs realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13. This interface is pretty neat and highly customizable compared to others. Also, realme has promised two years of software updates and three years of security patches on this device.

Realme has done a great job optimizing the realme UI 4.0. Animations, transitions, and usability are all smooth, and I haven't experienced any lag or stutter. However, as always, realme UI comes with too many pre-installed apps, some of which cannot even be disabled.

Other highlights of the software include Smart Always-On Display (AOD) and Auto Pixelate. To enable the Smart AOD feature, go to Settings > Wallpapers & Style > Always-On Display and switch the toggle button on. From there, you can customize your choice of design. Meanwhile, the Auto Pixelate feature automatically recognizes and pixelates sensitive information, such as profile photos and names, in your chat screenshots.

Antutu Score

Regarding our performance test on realme 11 Pro 5G, we used the Antutu Benchmark app version 10.

realme 11 Pro 5G - Antutu score - 593,724 points

realme 11 Pro 5G achieved 593,724 points in the Antutu Benchmark. Here's the breakdown of its Antutu score: 170,739 (CPU), 139,522 (GPU), 138,572 (MEM), and 144,891 (UX). The result is impressive for a mid-ranger.

Camera Quality

realme 11 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera system with a 100-megapixel OIS ProLight Camera and a 2-megapixel Portrait Camera, which can record videos steadily and capture images with clear details in any lighting condition. The advanced In-sensor Zoom technology offers a two times zoom that is far sharper than normal digital zooms. However, it doesn't have an ultra-wide sensor. On the display's top-centered punch-hole, there's a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Check out the photos I've taken with this phone with the default settings.

realme 11 Pro 5G - zoom in 20X

With the realme 11 Pro 5G's 100MP sensor, you can take pictures with up to 100 million pixels. realme UI's ProLight Imaging Technology and HyperShot Imaging Architecture 2.0 features improve the photos that are taken by making the best use of their three components: the Quickshot Acceleration Engine, the Image Fusion Engine, and the Color Boost Engine.

The first component is the Quickshot Acceleration Engine, which cuts the time it takes to take pictures at night by a lot and increases the number of quick shots the phone can take from 95 to 176 in one minute.

The second algorithm in Hypershot Imaging is called Image Fusion Engine. It can combine multiple images into one single shot. This means that photos can be zoomed in up to four times and still have 242% of their sharpness.

The third component is called the Color Boost Engine, and it helps make colors in shots more vivid and true to life.

Final Thoughts

realme 11 Pro 5G has an impressive screen, a superb zoom camera, a fashionable design, a very fast charging tech, loud dual speakers, and decent haptics. However, it's missing out on a 3.5mm earphone jack, an ultra-wide lens, and an ingress protection, which might disappoint other users. Performing everyday smartphone tasks such as calling, texting, web browsing, and online gaming is sufficient. The phone's 100MP OIS ProLight Camera is its unique selling point. If photography is your passion, the realme 11 Pro 5G would be a perfect fit for you.
