Esports is set to make its official debut as a medal event at the Asian Games 2023. In 2018, it was included in the games as a demo title. The 19th Asian Games 2022, which were originally scheduled for September last year, will now take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
All esports games at the Asian Games 2023 will be played at the China Hangzhou Esports Center located in Xiacheng District.
The esports category of the Asian Games 2023 features a total of seven medal events and two demonstration events:

- Arena of Valor (Asian Games version)
- Dota 2
- Dream Three Kingdoms 2
- EA Sports FC Online (formerly known as FIFA Online 4)
- League of Legends (LoL)
- PUBG Mobile / Peacekeeper Elite (Asian Games version)
