Riot Games has announced the "Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound" update for Teamfight Tactics (TFT), which is set to release on September 12, 2023. Check out more information about the upcoming patch below.
According to Riot, this mid-set update adds over a dozen new Champions to the roster and introduces powerful items, augments, and rule-bending portals that can alter the course of battles.
"Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound" takes players on a journey to the dangerous smuggler haven Bilgewater and the reclusive jungle lands of Ixtal. Both champions from different regions will participate in the Horizonbound event.
The players can compete in four new arenas that are inspired by nautical themes, and these arenas are designed to test their skills and strategies. The team dynamics will constantly change, and the portals will alter the core rules to introduce new and surprising challenges.
Horizonbound's updated Battle Pass provides players with new cosmetic unlocks, allowing them to express themselves while climbing to victory. The free track offers a dozen theme-based rewards, while the paid track unlocks over 30 cosmetic enhancements featuring four visually distinct arenas.
Moreover, Riot Games has been working to improve Teamfight Tactics by addressing various bugs. An improved UI feature for Champion Inspect makes it easier to assess each Champion's battle capabilities before assigning them to your team.
Riot Games said they will be sharing additional information and details about the "Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound" as the update approaches its September 12, 2023 launch date.
