FFWS 2023 Tournament Overview
The highly anticipated Free Fire World Series (FFWS) by Garena is set to return on November 10, following several months of intense competition in local qualifying rounds worldwide. The tournament will feature 18 qualified teams from 8 leagues around the world, who will land in Thailand to battle for the ultimate championship title and a slice of the massive USD 1,000,000 prize pool.
Garena has also revealed the official theme of this year's World Series - "Own The Glory." This theme will shine a spotlight on the 90 world-class professional players who will be giving their best performance on an international stage to bring pride and honor to their respective leagues. Fans of Free Fire can support their favorite teams in their quest for championship glory and participate in the action.
Free Fire World Series 2023 Tournament Format and Qualified Teams
The FFWS 2023 tournament will consist of three stages: Knockout, Point Rush, and the Grand Finals. Eighteen teams have qualified for the Knockout Stage, which will take place on November 10 to 12 and November 17 to 19. The teams will be divided into three groups of six, and each group will play 24 matches across two weekends.

After the initial qualifying round, the top 12 teams will advance to the Point Rush Stage, which will be held from November 24 to 25. During this stage, these teams will play a total of 12 games. Based on their performance in this phase, the teams will earn headstart points for the Grand Finals. The Grand Finals will be held on November 26 and will consist of six matches to determine the FFWS 2023 champion.

FFWS 2023 In-Game Events and Rewards
To boost the excitement during the World Series, Garena is set to launch Ghost Criminal, a special in-game event starting on November 17. The event will introduce players to the story of Ghost Criminal, who, with the help of an old friend, tries to steal the FFWS trophy. Will Kelly be able to prevent him in time? As part of the episode, a limited edition bundle named "Top Criminal – Ghost" will be available. This bundle is the latest addition to the popular "Top Criminal" series, and it features a unique cyan color scheme. Moreover, it comes with special smoke-like effects that enhance the overall experience of using it.
Free Fire players can expect new in-game activities, including milestone missions and a spectral Craftland map. Ghost Criminal-themed freebies, including a Trogon weapon, surfboard, and motorbike, will also be distributed.
