
Garena, in partnership with the Esports World Cup (EWC) Foundation, has announced that Free Fire will be participating in the first-ever EWC event, which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July 2024.
This partnership will allow the world's most downloaded mobile battle royale game to enter the arena of EWC 2024 and use its global reach to provide fans with an unparalleled esports experience that has never been seen before.
Ralf Reichert, CEO of Esports World Cup Foundation, said that Esports World Cup: Free Fire is "a prestigious competition that shows the power of esports to unite players and fans worldwide."

Esports World Cup 2024: Free Fire - Tournament Overview
The Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be held from July 10 to 14, 2024, featuring a massive USD 1 million prize pool. Eighteen (18) teams hailing from five local Free Fire tournaments (in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Brazil, Middle East and Africa, Pakistan), as well as ESL's Free Fire Snapdragon Pro Series, will compete across two stages over the five days.
- Knock-out Stage for the first three days
- The best 12 teams will proceed to the Finals over the next two days

Moreover, the winner of the competition will earn a spot in the biggest event of the year for Free Fire - the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024. This year's finals will be hosted in Brazil in November.
A teaser has been released on social media announcing that Free Fire will take part in EWC 2024. Fans and players can get a sneak peek of Free Fire's Gloo Wall with the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain in the background in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. As the host nation of Free Fire's flagship World Series, both in the first edition in 2019 and again this year, Free Fire is all set to make an exciting comeback to what represents an unforgettable part of its esports history.
