Valorant developer Riot Games revealed the VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1 & 2 details, including the format, schedule, ticketing, and live stream channels.
Now that the VCT Pacific Kickoff is over, fans can focus on cheering on Gen.G and Paper Rex, our representatives from the Pacific, at Masters Madrid.
However, other VCT Pacific teams still have the opportunity to climb up until the Pacific season ends. With that, here's all you need to know about VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific 2024 Stage 1 & 2.
VCT Pacific 2024 Overview
VCT Pacific Stage 1 will soon start, with teams preparing for additional high-stakes confrontations and the opportunity to represent the region at Valorant's second global tournament of the year, Masters Shanghai.
After Masters Shanghai, teams will continue to compete in VCT Pacific Stage 2 for a chance to compete at Champions 2024 and a share of the massive USD 250,000 total prize pool.
VCT Pacific Stage 1 and 2 will be held at Coex Artium:
- Address: 513, Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
The location for the Stage 2 Grand Finals will be announced at a later date.
VCT Pacific 2024: Stage 1 & 2 Format
In Stage 1, teams will be randomly divided into two groups, with five teams in Alpha and six in Omega. Alpha teams will compete against Omega teams in a single round-robin, best-of-three format. The top three teams in each group will advance to the playoffs. With only three qualifying slots, teams must navigate a double elimination bracket to secure a spot at Masters Shanghai.
Moreover, teams will gain one Championship Point for each match they win, with the Stage 1 champion collecting an additional three Championship Points. These points will count towards their qualification for Champions 2024 at the end of the season.
Stage 2 will use the same Alpha and Omega groupings as Stage 1, but teams will clash against those in their own groups. The top six teams with the best performance across Stages 1 and 2 will proceed to the Stage 2 Playoffs.
To qualify for Champions 2024, teams must finish in the top three of the Stage 2 Playoffs or accumulate the most Championship Points.
Currently, South Korean Valorant team Gen.G has earned three points after winning the VCT Pacific Kickoff.
