Garena Undawn has launched its latest update, Stygian City, bringing a new map, PvPvE mode, and a Journey of Darkness event with rewards.
The Mechanoid Optimization and a new Gathering Drone are among the game adjustments that players can anticipate, as they provide a more enjoyable gameplay experience by ensuring balance and flexibility. Other rewards, including a permanent Lightfoot City Stroll outfit, also await players who log in during this period. Check out more details below.

New Map: Stygian City
After an insurmountable pollution catastrophe at Mount Ollie, survivors begin to migrate to the "Lost City" in search of a higher likelihood of survival. The City, which is one of the last known significant settlements in the Western Continent, is currently divided into factions, resulting in the return of civilization to the era of jungle law. Survivors will be compelled to endure until dawn as the desolate City gradually descends into darkness with silence.
While vigilant for opponents concealed within the shadows of Tungsten Port, Dragongate Dock, and a forsaken subway terminal, survivors may explore the three-dimensional above-ground and underground landscapes of Stygian City.
New Game Mode: Stygian Restricted Area
Players will enter a restricted area in Stygian City in this new PvPvE mode with the objective of collecting and evacuating with as many resources as possible, including weapons, ammo, and accessories. Resources can be acquired by looting defeated opponents or by exploring the open environment. Players have the option to utilize the gear they have acquired from previous journeys or the shop in their subsequent endeavors.
The following four metrics will be used to distribute tier points:
- Survival time: The more time a player stays in the match, the more points they will earn.
- Combat ability: Players can earn rank points by challenging monsters or beating other Survivors who enter the Stygian Restricted Area.
- Supplies scavenging: Players can earn extra points by opening more material boxes and evacuating with high-value loot.
- Evacuation result: Successfully evacuating the Stygian Restricted Area will result in bonus rank points, while failure to do so may result in a deduction.
A new item known as Sigils is available to players, providing a unique set effect and attribute bonus. This item can be used outside of Stygian Restricted Area Mode.
Journey of Darkness Event
Garena Undawn launched a Journey of Darkness event, introducing three missions offering free rewards:
- Log in for seven consecutive days to claim supplies such as an alloy pack and tuners.
- During the Restricted Area Guide mission, you can win the final reward package by collecting all four medals. This package includes Nanowire Reinforcement Coating and Silicon Carbide Particles (Level 4). The mission consists of four phases, each containing five mini-missions, which will be available over eleven days. To earn a medal, you need to complete three out of the five mini-missions in each phase. Additionally, completing each mini-mission will award you with silver and a guide chest containing supplies.
- In the Gold Rush Operation, players need to search for the limited-time "Golden Corbus" hidden in the Stygian Restricted area or exchange it using "Gold Rush Coupons" earned through daily tasks. Players can receive significant amounts of vouchers or gold based on the appraisal of their collected "Golden Corbus."
Mechanoid Optimization and New Gathering Drone
In the latest content update of Garena Undawn, players will now be able to keep their Mechanoid's upgraded stats even when they change skins. In addition, a new gathering drone will be unlocked at level 50, helping players by collecting two types of supply materials at once.
Towards the end of June 2024, players can look forward to new Special Ops and Training Match Modes, along with celebrations for Garena Undawn's first anniversary.
