Malaysia's Selangor Red Giants emerged as MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 champions after defeating Filipino team Falcons AP Bren, 4-3, in the grand finals on July 14 in Saudi Arabia.

With their win, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) took home the largest share of USD 1 million (around PHP 58 million) out of the tournament's massive USD 3 million prize pool (approximately PHP 175 million). M5 world champs Falcons AP Bren (FCAP) had to settle for a second-place finish, bagging USD 500,000 (roughly PHP 29 million) in consolation. Since MSC 2024 is part of the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024, Club Points were also awarded. Selangor Red Giants earned 1,000 points, while runners-up FCAP garnered 600 points.

Selangor Red Giants completed their Cinderella run at the MSC 2024 grand finals. The tournament dark horses beat world champions, Falcons AP Bren, in a nerve-racking best-of-seven (BO7) series in front of a jam-packed Amazon Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

SRG's Jungler, Muhammad Haqqullah "Sekys" Ahmad Shahrul Zaman, was named the Grand Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP).

Selangor Red Giants' title win is the first time a Malaysian team has won a major Mobile Legends esports competition, with no Malaysian team having previously reached the Grand Finals. SRG's 106-day winning streak in professional Mobile Legends esports is extended by their triumph in the MSC 2024 grand finals.

This year's MSC is the largest mid-season Mobile Legends esports tournament to date, as it expands beyond Southeast Asia and includes international teams from Turkey, Latin America, China, North America, and EECA (Eastern Europe and Central Asia). Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was the initial title to be revealed for the first-ever Esports World Cup.

SRG head coach Michael "Arcadia" Bocado said:
We made sure to stay composed. The best-of-seven series tested our mental fortitude, so we had to ensure we were in the zone and focused laser-sharp to execute our plans game by game seamlessly.

FCAP (formerly AP Bren), the team from the Philippines, is the sole team to have won two M-Series championship titles and is the current World Champion. The only title that is missing from their collection of significant MLBB accolades is an MSC championship.
