The much-awaited superhero 6v6 shooter "Marvel Rivals" gets a release date, which is December 6, 2024. At launch, all heroes will be free to play.
The announcement was made by NetEase Games and Marvel Games during the Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live.

Marvel Rivals, the new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter, allows players to assemble an ever-changing all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains with unique skills to fight on destructible maps from the Marvel Multiverse.
Notably, Marvel Rivals will launch with all heroes free to play. The highly-anticipated game will be available on various platforms: Windows PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X/S.
Moreover, both Captain America and the Winter Soldier will join the roster, bringing their unique skills and powers. Also unveiled was the newest map, the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda.

Regarding its gameplay, Marvel Rivals lets players choose heroes as Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist based on their power preferences. They can choose their role and hero and team up with pals to build a dynamic battle lineup. In addition, Team-Up Abilities will allow them to unleash combined superpowers with their teammates and destroy the battlefield to win spectacular battles.
