Google Philippines reveals top trending searches in 2024

Google Philippines has revealed the lists of top trending searches in the country in 2024, from news, games, K-dramas to personalities.

Overall, "heat wave" is the most-searched keyword for the Philippines in 2024, showing the concern of Filipinos about climate change. It was followed by the late "Jaclyn Jose" (a Filipina actress) and the "Olympics" (an international multi-sport event held in Paris).

The sensational Pinoy pop girl group "BINI" dominated the top searches for the female personalities category, while double Olympic gold medalist "Carlos Yulo" (24-year-old gymnast) topped the list for male personalities.

Trending searches in other categories were "Inside Out 2" for movies, hit Netflix South Korean drama "Queen of Tears" for shows/series, "Sining" by Dionela ft Jay R for songs/lyrics, "Sprunki Horror Music Game" for games, and "AI detector" for artificial intelligence-related searches.
