Zenless Zone Zero maker HoYoverse unveiled details of its upcoming major update, Version 2.0. The famous ARPG game will also celebrate its 1-year anniversary with exclusive rewards. As the end of Version 1.7 approaches, players of ZZZero are surely excited about the new content and freebies in the upcoming patch.
Version 2.0 Overview
Zenless Zone Zero V2.0 "Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn" will be available on June 6, 2025, for PlayStation 5 Pro, PS5, PC, iOS, and Android. Along with the official release on the Xbox platform, the latest patch update will feature the beginning of Season 2, three new agents (Yixuan, Ju Fufu, and Pan Yinhu), and the debut of the all-new region Waifei Peninsula.
After resolving the Sacrifice crisis, players will explore Waifei Peninsula, a remote district of New Eridu. Led by Yi Xuan, Yunkui Summit's High Preceptor, they will uncover the secrets of Phaethon and engage in new Hollow exploration gameplay that uses Ether's power. The major city of the new region, Failume Heights, near Lemnian Hollow, is famous for the rare resource Porcelume and features tea houses, dessert stalls, and pawnshops. Further, Proxies will manage their own Suibian Temple, upgrade facilities, and earn rewards by dispatching Bangboos, accomplishing commissions, and gathering resources from the Hollows.
The Lemnian Hollow is resource-rich but dangerous due to the Miasma. Foes entering the Miasmic Field state gain shields and enhanced abilities. To combat this, three powerful allies will join the Zenless Zone Zero roster.
Yixuan (the 'Grandmaster', an S-Rank Agent) has unique Attribute Auric Ink and Specialty Rupture, which ignores enemies' Defense and deal damage based on her Sheer Force, which scales with her Attack and Max HP. Instead of regular Energy, she uses Adrenaline, a special mechanic. To bring Void Hunter-level prowess to her team, she has distinct Ultimate modes for different combat scenarios.
Ju Fufu (an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent) wields the powerful weapon Hu Wei. She can earn Might and Momentum points to deal Physical and Fire damage to enemies, while her Chain Attack grants the Tiger's Roar effect, which boosts the team's CRIT DMG, Chain Attacks, and Ultimates.
Pan Yinhu (an A-Rank Physical Defense Agent) shows that a kitchen-savvy panda can be strong. Belion, an S-Rank Bangboo from Yunkui Summit, is joining the squad.
Meanwhile, S-Rank agents Astra Yao (Ether Support) and Caesar (Physical Defense) will return to the ZZZ Version 2.0 banners.
Hollow Zero: Lost Void will be updated with new stories, characters, and commissions. Adding more strategy to battles, players can now equip multiple Gears into different Agents. In Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0, players can enter the cinema in Lumina Square to watch movies with different characters during the Gravitational Attraction event. Earn exclusive rewards, including an A-Rank W-Engine Reel Projector, by completing certain tasks. In the Soul of Steel: Golden Bond event, players can pilot sleek mechs into the Hollows, face various challenges, and collect plenty of rewards.
Moreover, ZZZero Version 2.0 will feature a new 3D map and improved navigation for exploring New Eridu and Hollows. Fissure Beacons will let players restore HP, teleport, and revive Agents for better combat efficiency. Additionally, new players who finish Season 1, Chapter 2 Interlude can unlock and switch to Season 2's main storyline.
1st-Anniversary Celebration Rewards
Zenless Version Zero Version 2.0 will offer exciting anniversary rewards to thank players for their support.
Upon the Version 2.0 release, choose S-Rank Agent x1 and S-Rank W-Engine x1 from the Stable Channel for free, get 1,600 Polychromes, and receive an anniversary-exclusive title and avatar.
Complete specific challenges and event commissions and earn more in-game rewards, including 10 Boopons, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, and new Outfits for the main characters.
