Less than two weeks after its global launch, MOONTON Games' latest free-to-play multiplayer strategy game, Magic Chess: Go Go, has reached 30 million downloads globally. One of the much anticipated mobile titles of the year, MCGG has over 20 million pre-registrations before its international launch on May 28, 2025.
As a brief recap, the original Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) dev team created Magic Chess: Go Go. MCGG lets players become master strategists and command Mobile Legends heroes to form their ultimate lineup. Eight players will fight on each chessboard. Players battle separately, testing their decision-making and strategies in real-time over numerous rounds to be the last strategist standing. The latest Magic Chess Go Go season, Blessing of Embers, pits Gods against Demons.
If we also recall, Magic Chess Go Go had a soft launch in Singapore and Malaysia in December 2024, where a guide for the transfer plan from the MLBB's Magic Chess was also revealed. It was then launched in APAC, including here in the Philippines, in February 2025.
30M Downloads Milestone: Events and Rewards
MCGG prepared a range of events and free rewards for players to celebrate this huge milestone.
All players can use all 2-star commanders for free from June 6 to 8, 2025. Fans worldwide can now enjoy more tactical variation and gameplay depth this weekend.
Further, players will receive a free avatar border, "World Tour."
Besides the battle privileges and freebies, Magic Chess Go Go has a social media event from May 28 to June 15, 2025. As its official Facebook page reaches follower milestones, players across the server will unlock free rewards, including free Draw Token and premium Avatar Border.
