Winning Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports events might change your life with prestige and prizes. However, winning is never simple. Most Mobile Legends fans idolize professional players for their unparalleled wins and gameplay. Backstage, pro players are vulnerable like their fans, suffering from real-life issues beyond the Land of Dawn.
MLBB players Sanford Vinuya and Siswanto sisters Michelle "Chell" and Cindy "Cinny" want to inspire their fans in "Level Up," the first Esports World Cup (EWC) documentary series, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video today, June 6, 2025.

Sanford will be featured in the second episode on June 13, while Chell and Cinny will be highlighted in the third on June 20.
The docuseries highlights players' struggles and successes that few fans know about. Sanford, Chell, and Cinny's inclusion in the series allows Mobile Legends players to advocate for representation and tell their real-life stories to encourage fans worldwide and recognize the game's global presence.
Sanford, 18 years old and a member of Team Liquid, a recent MPL Philippines S15 champion bound for Saudi Arabia for the MSC at EWC 2025, said:
Being featured in the docuseries [Level Up] is important to me as it gave me a platform to share more about my life story and the struggles I had to face before winning a title or participating in a major tournament like the MSC 2024. I feel honored to be selected to tell my stories to global esports fans alongside other esports icons. I want the world to know that no matter how competitive tournaments are, we are still people who face real-life challenges. It's not just about winning—we need to give importance to the things that matter most, like family.
Sanford described how his father had a severe stroke months before the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at EWC 2024, leaving him as the sole breadwinner. The Team Liquid PH prodigy faced hurdles and pressure to triumph for his country in the major mid-year Mobile Legends competition.
Sisters Chell and Cinny from Indonesia's Team Vitality faced hurdles like Sanford. Both were heartbroken when they lost their grandfather on their first day in Riyadh. Unknown to many, the Siswanto sisters competed for their country in the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) at EWC 2024 despite grieving. They feel represented in the docuseries and can share their inspiring experiences with aspiring young female pro esports players.
Cinny, currently 21 years old, shared:
With this docuseries, we would love to see our fans stay passionate about their love for the game and esports. If you truly love this path, I hope you pursue it wholeheartedly and do it for yourself and the people you love.
Chell, 22, older sister of Cinny, stated:
It's a meaningful opportunity for us to represent women in the gaming community who share the same struggles or challenges and show that female players also deserve a spotlight. We feel honored and truly grateful to be included in the docuseries.
Ray Ng, MOONTON Games' head of esports ecosystem, said:
Having MLBB pro players highlighting mobile esports participants featured in an international docuseries is a reflection of MLBB's expansive global presence. More importantly, this docuseries provides our talents like Sanford, Chell, and Cinny a platform to share their inspiring stories of grit and determination with the global audience. We are proud of Chell and Cinny for their rightful inclusion in the docuseries. This recognizes women in mobile gaming, aligning well with our goal to promote diversity and inclusivity in the MLBB esports ecosystem. MLBB has been at the forefront of empowering women esports athletes on the global stage. We hope that their stories continue to inspire young girls who look up to them to take up space in esports.
MOONTON Games promotes Mobile Legends esports diversity and inclusivity. The MOBA game was the only esports title with a professional open tournament and competition for women at the first EWC. With its 16-team composition, MWI 2025 reached another milestone. Japan and Vietnam have received Wild Card spots at MSC 2025, enhancing the tournament's competitiveness and global reach. This year's events are greater, but pro players still have one game to win two championships.
"Level Up" aired on Amazon's streaming platform Prime Video on June 6, 2025, at 7 AM Philippine Time.
