
The Esports World Cup: Free Fire 2025 kicks off this week (July 16 to 20) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the winner securing the first spot at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals in Jakarta, Indonesia, this November.

Free Fire at EWC 2025
On July 16–20, 18 teams will compete at the Free Fire EWC 2025 Riyadh. The winner will receive the first ticket to the FFWS Global Finals in Jakarta, along with USD 300K from the USD 1M prize pool.
The three escalating stages of the competition are as follows:
- Knockout Stage (July 16 to 18): There are 3 groups with 6 teams each. Each day, 6 matches will be played. The top 12 teams will move on to the Point Rush.
- Point Rush Stage (July 19): There will be 6 matches to decide Headstart Points for the Grand Final. All teams advance with points based on their performance.
- Grand Final (July 20): The top 12 squads will compete in up to 10 matches with a Match Point format, called Champion Rush. The first team to reach 80 points and achieve a Booyah! wins the championship.

Group B includes Brazil and Indonesia, a growing Pakistani team, and a determined Thai squad. Group C will have strong teams from Brazil, Thailand, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia against two battle-tested Indonesian teams.
Free Fire at EWC 2025: In-Game Event and Rewards
Fans may anticipate more than top-notch gameplay. Free Fire will add four Esports World Cup-themed items: an avatar, bandana, banner, and backpack. There will also be TikTok engagement rewards.
