On September 24, 2025, Honkai Star Rail's Version 3.6 will be released, HoYoverse announced. In this upcoming patch update, we can expect two new 5-star characters, Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae. Notably, Level 3 or above can claim the latter for free for a limited time. Further, anticipate a lineup of events and new content (Anomaly Arbitration and Colorful Mayhem).

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.6 Update Overview
Amphoreus faces an uncertain destiny in the coming chapters. In the new storyline, Miss Evernight unveils her vision of "Era Nova"—a path that deviates from the popular credo of redemption but one she is committed to following to save the planet. Meanwhile, Dan Heng is set to return to Amphoreus, risking everything to reunite with the Express Crew.
Evernight, a 5-star Ice character on the Path of Remembrance, arrives first among the two new playable characters. Evernight says she represents March 7th's forgotten past, existing only to safeguard her future. Evernight fights memosprites well. She boosts the CRIT DMG of entire memosprites while on the squad, and the more Path of Remembrance characters present, the higher the bonus. After summoning "Evey," Evernight acquires "Memoria." Evey's DMG increases with "Memoria" accumulation. "Evey" instantaneously deals DMG to all opponents after reaching a stack count. Evernight's Ultimate delivers DMG to all enemies and puts her and "Evey" in "Darkest Riddle." Their DMGs grow in this state. In "Darkest Riddle," using a Skill gives Evernight more "Memoria," enhancing Evey's DMG.
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, another highly anticipated Astral Express character, is also joining the playable roster. After using the Azure Dragon's Imbibitor Lunae power in Version 3.6, Dan Heng unlocks his own Permansor Terrae power. His improved strength lets him protect the team more. Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae can summon a Souldragon for a Bondmate and provide all friends with a stacking Shield in combat. Souldragons remove one debuff from all allies and offer an extra Shield. His Ultimate delivers DMG to all foes and shields the squad. Also, Souldragon is strengthened. It Follow-up ATKs all foes and deals DMG dependent on the Bondmate's battle abilities when it acts. The 5-star character is free for Trailblaze Level 3 and higher players to claim in Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae's Warp from Version 3.6 to 4.0.
"Anomaly Arbitration," the new periodic high-difficulty trial, debuts in this new update. This gameplay has three trial stages and one final stage. Players must form three teams to complete the trial phases and advance to the final stage. Completing all stages earns players the "Interference Key" and other valuable rewards. Other events will include "Nice Weather for Dromases" and "Colorful Mayhem." Finally, this update adds Main Story Replay. Players can replay completed Trailblaze Missions, Continuances, and Companion Missions and choose story segments or cutscenes.
