SRG entered the Upper Bracket Finals with Malaysia's aspirations and an unbeaten M7 record. After RORA scored first in Game 1, SRG took match point at 2-1, one game away from Malaysia's first M Series Grand Final appearance. However, RORA recovered from Game 4 and unleashed a Game 5 victory that shook the crowd.

Team Liquid PH (TLPH) vs Alter Ego (AE) - Match Recap

AE propels Indonesia's dreams, denying TLPH's Golden Road. A nation determined to pursue its ambition shook the arena. The battle between TLPH and AE returned with everything at stake. This M7, the Philippines' golden boys were most dangerously predictable: concede Game 1, then defeat their opponents. TLPH didn't worry when AE won Game 1 as expected. As predicted in Games 2 and 3, TLPH reached match point and one game from another all-Filipino Grand Finals.

Game 4 was stunning desperation, as AE clawed back to force Game 5. The Indonesian crowd's shout shook the arena, arming AE. TLPH's Game 5 draft was aggressive, meant to crush hope early. AE held out for the late game, which TLPH's draft couldn't sustain. AE won 3-2 with a decisive strike.

TLPH's Golden Road finally collapsed, ending their ambition of an all-Filipino Grand Finals.

The M7 World Championship reached a new M Series viewership record—5.36 million Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) during the match between Team Liquid Philippines versus Alter Ego, according to Esports Charts.
