Event Highlights

The M7 Opening Ceremony, inspired by major sporting events, set the tone for the biggest M Series spectacle. The cinematic production blended tradition and modernity to honor Indonesia's cultural diversity and MLBB Esports.

At the M7 Opening Ceremony, Creative Economy vice minister Irene Umar witnessed the citywide celebration and Mobile Legends' emergence as a symbol of national pride and worldwide unity.

Umar said:
The M7 places Indonesia at the center of the global esports stage. For the next few weeks, the world will not only watch the best MLBB teams compete. They will also see Indonesia's passion, creativity, and energy. Through technology and competition, it allows a nation like Indonesia to be seen, heard, and celebrated by a global audience. Together with MOONTON Games, we have seen how MLBB has become more than a game. It has grown into one of the most-watched and beloved entertainment titles in the world. As a federation, we recognize MOONTON Games' role in building a professional, sustainable, and globally respected esports ecosystem. I would like to express our appreciation to MOONTON Games as well for creating opportunities, inspiring young talent, and uniting millions of fans. Tonight, let the world see Indonesia. Let the world see esports at its best. Welcome to the M7.

Tiger Xu, Global Head of MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games, stated:
Rise As One is more than just a theme—it's a message for our community and fans worldwide. The M7 Opening Ceremony was a celebration of that idea and a showcase of the global influence of MLBB Esports. It brought together cultures, honored heritage, and aimed to inspire our fans to come together to celebrate their shared passion. Tonight was a statement of what MLBB Esports represents today, and reflects the journey that we're headed towards in the future. By blending tradition with innovation, the ceremony embodied our vision for MLBB to uplift and empower the communities that matter most to us. We want to continue creating shared experiences that unite the world through the power of gaming, sports, culture, and entertainment!

Batavia PIK, an iconic cultural hub where colonial heritage meets modern design, hosted the event. It is the world's first overwater dining, shopping, and entertainment complex. Rise in Indonesia—a stunning Swargaloka Dance Crew performance—opened the ceremony. To celebrate the M7 host nation, the showcase combined Indonesia's cultural variety with color, movement, modernism, and legacy.

The ceremony was followed by Voices of M7: Rise as One, which is a choral rendition of the theme song, Sizzle. The show set a ceremonial tone for the 16 Main Stage teams' title campaigns. The 16 teams hoisted their flags together against the choir. Gatotkaca cosplayers—the MLBB hero based on Indonesian mythology warrior and wayang—carried each flag. The segment celebrated Indonesia's legacy and the teams competing on MLBB Esports' biggest stage. As all flags flew high and "Rise As One, Let the World See Us" was shown, it ended.

We Rise as One, the Grand Finale, welcomed 16 Main Stage teams with flags to the stage. Javanese folk art and warriors inspired the dancers' neon-accented traditional Indonesian clothing. The combination of traditional and modern visuals reflects MLBB Esports' emerging identity—rooted in culture and driven by competition.

MLBB's intensity and strength were portrayed via bold choreography, compelling formations, and strong music. The performance peaked when Indonesian MLBB winners Muhammad "Wannn" Ridwan (M1 champion), Ihsan "Luminaire" Kusudana (M1 champion), and Vivi "Vivian" Indrawaty (3x MWI champion) brought the M7 Trophy on stage. They were accompanied by Indonesian bodybuilder and Physical Asia icon Igede "Igedz Executioner" Dharma Susila in a Gatotkaca outfit. Their attendance honored past champions and carried Indonesian and MLBB hopes. It was a moment that continued a passionate journey for the MOBA game.
