A new extended gameplay trailer of Sea of Remnants was revealed by NetEase Games. The date and recruitment details of the game's first closed alpha test on PC were also announced.
Developed by Joker Studio, the upcoming free-to-play ocean-fantasy open-world RPG is expected to launch sometime in 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) platforms.
Players play a puppetfolk sailor without memory who must explore perilous seas, battle unusual monsters, modify their fleet, and develop friendships with over 300 allies while shaping the ever-changing pirate metropolis of Orbtopia through meaningful choices.

'Wanderer Test'
The small-scale closed alpha test runs from February 5 to 12, 2026, on PC.
To apply for the test, follow the official Sea of Remnants X and YouTube pages and engage in the "WANDERER TEST" post. Or you can join the game's Discord and complete the application form. Deadline is January 23.
Further, Sea of Remnants' Steam and Reddit pages will offer questionnaires. Test slots are limited, and eligible testers will be notified if selected.
