Sword of Justice released its massive New Year Update 2026, with a new map and storyline, the debut of hero Ruan Ruan, new leisure and PvP modes, and new dungeons. New Year bonus events also await new and returning players. The free-to-play eastern fantasy open-world MMORPG game is also hosting a glamorous Southeast Asian event with Malaysian cosplayer Hakken to celebrate the new year.

Sword of Justice expands its connection with Southeast Asian players with a fantastic New Year collaboration with Hakken. The Malaysian cosplayer, known for his craftsmanship and charisma, portrays Marquis Mingzhao Fang Chengyi, one of the SOJ's most beloved and fascinating companion characters.
Players were drawn to Fang Chengyi's aristocratic manner, acute intellect, and hidden depths as he danced between power, ambition, and true connection with the protagonist. Hakken's outstanding performance nails the character's iconic design and emotional resonance. This partnership effectively showed the game's Eastern aesthetics and devotion to the huge Southeast Asian gaming community.

New Year Update 2026 - New Content and Events
New Areas: Sword of Justice players can explore the Celestial Plains, a vast new zone with the Bloomfield of Dandelions, Clearwater Forest, and Violetmist Vale. Spirit Within exploration lets players communicate with animals, interact with sacred trees, and engage with stones to unearth secret lore and treasures, expanding the game's living universe.
New Hero and Storyline: Celestial Adventure introduces Ruan Ruan, a fascinating new character. Ruan Ruan, who looks like Xiao Nuan, urges players to discover her roots as part of the story. This arc expands the game's mythos and offers new storylines for new and returning players.
New Dungeons: Two new dungeons are added in the New Year Update. In School Trial - Crimson Sands, Zhang Shuye, Chong Shidao, and Tieshou, the three great masters of Valiant Camp, await challengers in a new combat-puzzle exam. New Group Dungeon Sundance Inner City requires players to team up, strategize, and fight a cooperative epic.
New Leisure Mode and PvP Mode: Hide-and-Seek, a fun Leisure mode, lets players become grass, flowers, rocks, tigers, bears, or deer. Enjoy yourself with buddies and don't get caught. Additionally, Immortal Strife, a 60-player survival battleground, has been added to the game. Matches last three minutes. Survival and outlasting the opposition in a high-stakes, fast-paced arena match is the goal.
More New Content: The New Year Update also introduced many new cosmetic looks and a bonus event with login rewards and other perks to welcome new and returning players with generosity and joy.
