Kliff Explores Pywel in the Features Overview Video #1

Crimson Desert's protagonist, open world, and game mechanics are detailed in the new featurette.

The game's primary character, Kliff, and Pywel, a mystery-filled open world, are explained in this video. Pywel has vast wilderness, vibrant cities, ancient ruins, and different regions set against rising strife and supernatural peril.

Crimson Desert players play Kliff, a Greymane warrior from northern Pailune, renowned for peace and unity. After that, peace is broken, and Kliff must reunite the Greymanes and recover their homeland. Players learn that the continent's fate is in jeopardy as they go.

The mysterious Abyss, whose imbalance sends shards tumbling onto Pywel, is a major menace. These leftovers could be used to cause world chaos. Restoring equilibrium to the Abyss and fighting its exploiters are crucial plot points.

The featurette describes Crimson Desert's open world. Pywel has five regions: Pailune, Hernand, Delesyia, Demeniss, and the Crimson Desert, each with its own storylines, settings, and challenges. Players can explore the world in any sequence, completing faction-driven quests, large-scale combats, fortress sieges, and character-focused missions. The main quest chronicles Kliff's adventure.

Kliff will be joined by two more playable characters as the tale progresses. Characters have varied combat styles, skills, and weapons, so players can explore and fight differently.

Players can ride horses, climb hills, fly, and use missile-firing mechs and dragons to explore Pywel. Treasures, puzzles, ancient mechanisms, and attractions reward curiosity and exploration around the world.

Further, players face soldiers, sorcerers, monsters, and machines, testing their flexibility and skill. Quests, combat, and exploration can yield powerful artifacts and equipment, while world and resident knowledge provide clues and open doors to new skills.
