Overwatch 2, now simply Overwatch again, has a brighter future, Blizzard claims. Overwatch Spotlight 2026 introduces The Reign of Talon, a yearlong narrative arc. An expansive storyline, new heroes, interesting in-game events, and dynamic updates will unfold throughout the year.
10 New Heroes: Discover five new heroes, including Talon-affiliated Domina, Mizuki, and Emre, and Overwatch-affiliated Anran (limited-time Hero Trial) and Jetpack Cat. Each Season (2-6) will introduce a new Hero with unique skills and engaging gameplay to spice up every combat and advance the story.
Ongoing Story Evolution: Season 1 shows Talon's global dominion through in-game events, map updates, animated comics, hero trailers, and short stories. Starting now, a yearlong narrative arc unfolds.
Meta Event "Conquest": A unique faction battle. For five weeks, align with either Overwatch or Talon to compete for free Legendary Echo skins, faction-themed titles, 66 loot boxes, and more rewards.
UI and UX Update: For an epic user experience, players will notice a substantial interface revamp with updated menus, improved navigation, and a new 3D hero lobby.
Hello Kitty & Friends Collaboration (Limited-time only): Equip yourself with exclusive collab skins. Cosmetics that are inspired by Hello Kitty are available for your favorite heroes, resulting in a delightful pandemonium on battlefields worldwide.
Back to "Overwatch" title: Overwatch is a living universe that grows, surprises, and brings players together all over the world. 2026 represents a turning moment in the development team's vision for Overwatch; therefore, they've eliminated the "2" and become "Overwatch".
