At the Marvel Rivals Assemble event, the superhero shooter game announced several upcoming content updates and collaborations for 2026. Highlights of the announcements below.
"Path to Doomsday" Roadmap
Yachen Bian (NetEase Games publishing and marketing lead), GuangGuang (NetEase Games creative director), and Danny Koo (Marvel Games executive director) revealed the game's 2026 roadmap.
Marvel Rivals will release unique events and game modes inspired by Marvel Studios' Avengers movies:
- In April, The Avengers
- In June, Avengers: Age of Ultron
- In August, Avengers: Infinity War
- In October, Avengers: Endgame
- On December 18, Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel Rivals will offer thrilling new game modes and activities in December to honor Avengers: Doomsday.
Highlight metrics showing game involvement were also shared during the event. Marvel Rivals' Discord community now has more than 4.2 million members. In-game, a total of 47 playable Super Heroes are available. Twenty maps were launched (excluding Practice Range). 418 costumes were released. 11 extra game modes are available.
New Special Mode
A limited-time game mode will be available. One player plays Loki versus six heroes in this asymmetric fight scenario. Loki uses deception, illusions, and strong Infinity Stone abilities to turn opponents against each other, like in Marvel Studios' The Avengers. He can mind-control enemy heroes and summon copies of his six heroes to defeat the players. Other heroes can summon Hulk under specific conditions, reenacting film scenes.

New Costumes
New Captain America and Psylocke skins are now available, namely Captain America: Cursed Captain and Psylocke: Once-Captive Corsair.
Marvel Rivals Musical Showcase
Composer Shota Nakama and singer Adriana Figueroa debuted four game songs:
- Path to Rivals
- No One Rivals Doom
- Rivals Til' the End
- Flight Mode (featuring LUNA)
Disney x Marvel Rivals
Disney Consumer Products also joined the Marvel Rivals Assemble campaign, encouraging Marvel fans to gather with friends to celebrate Marvel's Super Heroes and epic stories.
Attendees saw Hot Toys Marvel Rivals Cosbi Collection, LEGO Group Ravager Jumpsuit Groot, and Funko POP! Jeff the Land Shark plush.
