Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) will be contested at the Esports World Cup (EWC) again, for the third straight year, with more regions and a grander competitive structure under its globalization and five-region makeover strategy.
Per developer Moonton, MLBB at EWC 2026 showcases the mobile MOBA game's "momentum and long-term commitment to building a truly inclusive, world-class esports ecosystem," featuring a USD 3.5 million prize pool and broadened qualification pathways.
MLBB Mid Season Cup at EWC 2026
An increasingly comprehensive international qualification system across major professional leagues and regional championships will send 16 of the world's best teams to the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at EWC26.

In line with the 5-region strategy, MSC at EWC 2026 will include its largest Wild Card, 10 teams, including Western European teams. This expansion increases MLBB's worldwide integrated competitive structure by strengthening its five regions:
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa)
- SEA (Southeast Asia)
- AMER (Americas)
- EECA (Eastern Europe and Central Asia)
- EA (East Asia)
India will join the MSC 2026 Main Stage, expanding regional participation worldwide.
Ray Ng of MOONTON said:
Through our five-region strategy and globalisation efforts, we are making the road to the world stage clearer and more accessible for every region. This means more chances for new MLBB players to prove themselves, for emerging regions to step up with confidence, and for our community to see their own stories reflected in the competition. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring that women in MLBB have meaningful platforms, structured pathways, and the visibility they deserve.
To recall the last EWC 2025, the reigning MSC champions are Team Liquid from the Philippines.
MLBB Women's Invitational at EWC 2026
Mobile Legends' worldwide expansion strategy and dedication to diversity and regional representation in girls' esports are reinforced by the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) at EWC 2026, with the debut of the Western Europe Qualifier. From July 13-17, 16 teams will compete in MWI at EWC26.

Team Vitality, as reigning MWI 2025 champions, will automatically qualify to defend their title. The Indonesian team's comeback arc last year secured their third MWI title and cemented their legacy as MLBB Esports' Queens.
I know most of you still seek more info about MSC and MWI at EWC 2026, so check out the new posts from the Mobile Legends Esports Facebook page. Besides EWC, the MLBB Esports 2026 roadmap also includes the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC). – PinoyTechSaga
