Garena Call of Duty Mobile Summer Fest 2026 ended, marking a milestone for local and regional CODM scenes. On May 23-24, the SMX Aura Convention Center in Manila hosted the Garena Elite Philippines (GEP) grand finals and the Garena Summer Invitational (GSI), drawing nearly 4k attendees and 50k peak concurrent viewers across the game's official broadcast channels.
Over USD 100k prize pool was awarded in GEP and GSI tournaments. Philippine dominance on the regional scene defined the weekend.
GSI 2026 featured outstanding teams from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and the Philippines, resulting in an all-Filipino podium. Defending home turf, ELEVATE won its third straight GSI title, Alula SC placed second, and Team Star Magic third, solidifying the Philippines' position as a regional CODM powerhouse.
Further, the top two finishers, ELEVATE and Alula SC, secured direct qualification to the Group Stage of the CODM World Championship 2026 Garena Qualifiers.
GEP 2026, the Philippines' first official offline Battle Royale (BR) competition, was a milestone for the domestic competitive CODM scene. LEAP UNBOUND clinched the LAN BR title. SKAERI won Multiplayer (MP) with overwhelming tactical execution.
Beyond the competition, Summer Festival 2026 brought the CODM community together with live performances, content creator appearances, merchandise giveaways, fan meet-and-greets, and interactive on-ground events across two days. Myrtle Sarrosa, Sharlene, Doc Z, and Patsy, who performed "In the Zone" at the opening ceremony, met fans.
In the coming months, Garena will invest in the local ecosystem to offer Filipino players and fans a variety of competitive, community, and content creator-focused CODM projects. Garena Masters 11 returns in July, the Philippines Collegiate Championship begins in August, Garena Survivors returns in September, and a new Community Gladiators series debuts in the third quarter.
