VCT Pacific Cup 2027 to be held in Manila, Riot announced

Valorant maker Riot Games has announced that the first VCT Pacific Cup will be held in Manila in 2027.

The tournament, which will commence on April 29 and conclude on May 23, will feature teams competing for a slot at Masters Valencia in Spain (June 5–20).

Moreover, the forthcoming tournament is part of the updated Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2027 season.

The new VCT season will be held in 15 cities across the globe and will include over 50 tournaments in the categories of Opens, Cups, Masters, and Champions.

The VCT Pacific Cup 2027 succeeded the traditional Seoul-based VCT Pacific Stages.

Nevertheless, the competitive landscape for Filipino teams has also been significantly altered as a result of the major overhaul in the Valorant esports scene.

VCT Pacific will be divided into independent regional tournaments for South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia beginning next year.

However, the Philippines has been reclassified as part of the Pacific Wild Card region, which also includes Malaysia, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian territories.

The Philippine delegation to the Wild Card system signifies that Filipino Valorant organizations will no longer possess a standalone regional pathway. In order to advance within the VCT ecosystem, they will now compete within the broader Wild Card system.

I know you want to know the exact venue for VCT Pacific Cup 2027. It is yet to be revealed, so stay tuned to Valorant PH's official Facebook pages (@VALORANTph and @valorantesportsPH) for updates. – PinoyTechSaga
