Popular online video streaming platform Netflix has released the August 2021 leaderboard for internet service providers in the Philippines based on their performance.
The Netflix ISP Speed Index for August 2021 saw three telcos topping the charts, namely Globe, Converge, and SkyCable.
According to the August 2021 report, Globe, Converge, and SkyCable, have posted the same speed of 3.2 Mbps.
PLDT took the second spot at 3.0 Mbps. Meanwhile, Royal Cable ranked third place at 2.6 Mbps.

The Netflix ISP Index measures which ISPs (internet service providers) internationally have the best Netflix viewing experience during prime time. The list is based on data collected from subscribers using the streaming platform.
The speed index is vital for Netflix streaming because its videos are best viewed on an internet network with low latency, jitter, and packet loss. Otherwise, customers would encounter pixelization, buffering, and other problems associated with video streaming.
To recap, Globe and Converge also topped the Netflix ISP Speed Index for January, February, and April this year at 3.2 Mbps. However, in March, only Converge dominated the list at 3.2 Mbps. In May, PLDT got a chance to enter the top spot at 3.2 Mbps, along with Globe and Converge. And in June, Converge, Globe, and Sky ranked first with the same speed at 3.2 Mbps.
