Globe has introduced its virtual amusement park dubbed GIFLand, featuring GDay, Shop & Pay, the New GlobeOne app, and the revamped Globe Online Shop. The event was streamed live through the GlobeICON Facebook page.
GIFLand features new offerings, treats, and activities exclusively for Globe customers, and it is part of Globe’s 917 Celebration (inspired by the company’s original and longstanding 917 mobile number prefix). Based on 917, this event is annually held on September 17 to show the telco’s appreciation to its loyal subscribers.
“The core of what we do is to provide a richer, fuller, more rewarding experience to our customers,” said Globe chief commercial officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira in the Globe Innovation Fest (GIF).
Globe GDay in 2021
Some of the activities in this year’s GDay or Globe’s 917 Celebration are:
G Legends Cup – an amateur mobile gaming tournament that lets winners share their prize with their beneficiary of choice.
G Chance the Raffle, G Super Sale, G Business Summit, and G Music Fest – each program’s participation by customers contributes to Globe’s collective support of its partner beneficiaries.
Donate Your Points – Globe subscribers can donate their Globe Rewards points to organizations that support education, the environment, health and well-being, poverty reduction, and disaster relief.
“With GDay Everyday, we reward our customers and at the same time, empower them to support the wider community through Globe’s 15 partner beneficiaries,” said Bianca Wong, Head of the Feel Valued Tribe at Globe.
Globe Shop & Pay
Globe Shop & Pay is a self-service, highly interactive one-stop shop for all your essentials in Globe. This new feature makes Globe’s transaction safer and more convenient for customers, whether for a mobile or broadband plan request, a handset, 917 apparel, and merchandise purchase.
Moreover, it features a vending machine to pay bills, buy load, call card or SIM, and cash-in through GCash.
Globe vice president for retail sales operations Gino Guinto gave audiences a virtual walk-through of the new technology, highlighting its convenience and accessibility.
New GlobeOne App
The New GlobeOne app is a super app that combines the features and experiences of all existing apps — GlobeOne, Globe At Home, Globe Rewards, and TM.
It strives to be the one app that enables Globe users to manage all of their important transactions and accounts, whether it’s topping up their prepaid mobile or broadband plans, redeeming rewards, or paying bills.
“Sa GlobeOne app, customers can have easy access to Globe Rewards that they need in their everyday lives — rewards such as KonsultaMD, game pins, discounts to restaurants,” shared GlobeOne App product owner Juuya Reyes.
Globe Prepaid brand head Eric Tanbauco also revealed GoCREATE, an exclusive feature on the GlobeOne app that allows prepaid customers to customize their own promo.
“With GoCREATE, customers can customize their own promos based on their needs. They themselves have a say on what goes in their own promo. They can choose, for example, how much data to use, how long it will run, and where to use,” said Tanbauco in a mix of English and Tagalog language.
The New GlobeOne app is available to download for free on Google Play and Apple App Store.
Globe Online Shop Revamped
The event also highlighted new updates on the Globe Online Shop.
Globe’s Digital Experience Lead Mitch Opao said that customers can now do more on the site, such as renewing their mobile plans, ordering Home Prepaid WiFi devices online, tracking their delivery, and paying cashless via GCash.
