Globe launches 'Shop & Pay' digital kiosks
Globe Telecom has launched its digital kiosk called Shop & Pay. Globe’s new store concept combines traditional brick-and-mortar Globe Stores with a digital retail format, elevating the customer experience while keeping them safe.
Globe Shop & Pay digital kiosks serve as a one-stop shop for all of the company’s core products and services. It was launched as part of Globe’s annual 917 Day or September celebration, named after the telco’s most popular prefix: 0917.
“Globe provides today’s life-enabling essentials packaged in a reinvented retail experience centered on customer care and safety,” said Bernie Llamzon, Globe EVP for Channel Management.
“With the pandemic and the growing adoption of digital technologies, we saw a big opportunity to mix online and on-ground retail experience for our customers,” added Llamzon.
With the resurgence of COVID-19 cases, customers seek a more secure, convenient, and alternative method of conducting transactions in the new normal, resulting in the rapid shift to digital.
Globe Shop & Pay digital kiosks will aid in overcoming customer apprehension about visiting and transacting in physical stores. Rather than that, customers can purchase products and services via a digital touchscreen display. Scannable QR codes direct users to online shops for payment and delivery requests.

Customers can use the “lift and learn” option to learn more about the various products. Once a demo unit is lifted, the video will be interrupted to demonstrate the phone’s features and the corresponding hero offer. When two demo units are lifted, a comparison table displays both phone features and plan offers.
Additionally, the digital displays educate customers about available digital channels, emphasizing mobile applications such as GlobeOne, GCash, and Globe At Home, which assist in the transition to digital transformation.
Similarly, vending machines are available at Globe Shop & Pay kiosks to pay bills, GCash cash-in, load top-up, and purchase prepaid call cards and SIM cards.
