Chinese game developer miHoYo has announced that Genshin Impact’s version 2.2 update will premiere on October 3 via its official Twitch channel. In line with its 1st-anniversary celebration, miHoYo gave away surprise freebies to players.
Here is the list of free rewards:
- Wings of Shimmering Galaxy wind glider
- 400 Primogems
Players will receive these freebies via in-game mail with the title “Thank You to All Our Travelers.”
It includes a message, “We sincerely thank you for your continuous support and love for Genshin Impact, and we would like to offer this thank-you gift to express our gratitude.”
The message body also mentioned the upcoming Genshin Impact online concert on October 3.
Moreover, it should be noted that this is the first of four bundles to roll out, which means three more rewards are yet to come.
The description for this first gift could be interpreted as a response to growing player anger surrounding Genshin Impact’s first anniversary, which peaked recently with a storm of review bombs.
As of this writing, Genshin Impact’s Google Play Store rating has dropped to 3.0 from 4.6, though it maintains a 4.5 on the App Store.
