South Korean game company Wemade has launched its blockchain-based MMORPG called MIR4, in 170 countries, including the Philippines, on August 26, 2021. Wemade is the creator of the PC title Legend of Mir, which has three series. The new MIR4 incorporates a free-to-play and play-to-earn model. It is available for PC, iOS, and Android platforms.
The MIR4 is an MMORPG set in the Eastern-inspired world of the Legend of Mir franchise. The game features fluid action combat, smooth character animations, four playable characters, an auto-play system, and PK/PVP modes. It was developed using Unreal Engine 4.
MIR4 has its own utility token called “DRACO,” based on blockchain technology, which can be minted by playing the game. This can be exchanged to obtain a certain amount of “Darksteel,” a vital resource used for participation in Clans and PvP, as well as the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) of the game.
You can only receive DRACO if you connect the game to a Facebook, Google, or Apple account, reach level 40, and collect enough of the Darksteel resource (by mining it in-game) to craft the cryptocurrency.
Smelting 100,000 Darksteel (plus a small fee paid in Darksteel, too) will yield one DRACO. However, the required amount of Darksteel to smelt Draco fluctuates according to the total number of Darksteel mined in the whole server. After smelting, you can then transfer it to your WeMix wallet, the company’s wallet service. The total number of Draco coins that can be smelted is limited based on the total issuance capacity.
How to Smelt Draco?
You can smelt Draco through Smeltery in-game via NPC (non-player character) or menu. Once you’re on the Smeltery, supply the number of required Darksteel to produce Draco. Also, you can exchange your existing Draco for Darksteel.
After that, log in to your WeMix wallet to receive the smelted Draco or the wallet that holds your existing Draco. Review the exchange rate on the day. Then, click Smelt or Exchange. Once you have entered the number of Draco that you want to smelt or exchange, click on the ‘Input Complete’ button. And you’re done.

Currently, MIR4 is available to download on its official website (mir4global.com) and Steam for the PC platform. Meanwhile, mobile users can download the game via Google Play, Apple App Store, and Galaxy Store.
MIR4 NFT Marketplace (mir4nft.com) is expected to launch around September.
