Smart Communications has launched its new content streaming app called GigaPlay. This mobile app lets Smart subscribers access exclusive concerts, shows, and other live events for free.
GigaPlay App is available to download on Google Play and Apple App Store. It features curated live and on-demand content optimized to stream through the Smart network.
How to use the GigaPlay app?
All Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, TNT, and Smart Bro subscribers can access the app by simply connecting to their mobile data, selecting the video they want on the GigaPlay app, and watching it to their hearts’ content anytime and anywhere.
What to watch on the GigaPlay app?
GigaPlay’s initial offering will be an exclusive stream of the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021 on September 18 and 19 (10:30 a.m. onwards on both days), which will feature performances by the following:
- Billie Eilish
- Coldplay
- Dua Lipa
- J Cole
- Khalid
- Maroon 5
- More top artists
Moreover, it will feature a Philippine-exclusive stream of the upcoming KCON:TACT HI 5 virtual concert, which will happen from September 18 to 26, 2021. This virtual concert will feature performances by today’s biggest K-Pop artists, including:
- Mamamoo
- AB6IX
- Park Ji-hoon
- ATEEZ
- More K-Pop artists
It will also feature the weekly Korean music show M Countdown every Thursday at 5:00 pm.
GigaPlay is set to live stream the ongoing 46th season of the PBA Philippine Cup and the upcoming NBA season via NBA TV Live.
Additionally, the new streaming app will broadcast the UAAP and PVL seasons.
Besides live concerts and sports, Smart subscribers can access on-demand content such as Hallyu Hangouts with Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, reruns of key events from the recent Tokyo Olympics, FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, and Olympic Qualifying Tournament, as well as the recently concluded PVL Open Conference.
Subscribers can also watch NBA content 24/7 via NBA TV Philippines, which is integrated into GigaPlay.
